The Senior Technical Project Manager (STPM) will be part of Oracle’s Global Business Units that deliver industry specific SaaS solutions to the world. In this role you will focus on leading and managing project and program initiatives that span security, compliance, technical and business-based initiatives. The STPM acts as a project management technical lead and business analysis subject matter expert and is responsible for working with Engineering and business stakeholders to deliver the desired outcomes.
The Senior Technical Project Manager (STPM) is responsible for:
Providing technical project planning, developing comprehensive project plans that merge technical requirements with business goals and coordinate with various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation
Working with stakeholders to establish metrics on outcomes, progress, and quality
Providing analytical reporting on progress and opportunities for improvement
Conducting timely retrospectives end ensuring identified opportunities are implemented
Create and present routine initiative and executive updates/reporting
Assess project scope and develop financial and human investments necessary to achieve desired results
In depth analysis and modeling of complex data sets using in house developed tools and Excel
Proactively communicate key issues and any other critical topics in a timely manner to the appropriate management level and/or to any other relevant project team member(s).
The Senior Technical Project Manager (STPM) leads and manages project and program initiatives. The STPM acts as a project management technical lead and business analysis subject matter expert and is responsible for working with Engineering and business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
The STPM manages all phases of service delivery including: analysis, design, configuration and build, testing and training, and deployment of solutions and will be accountable for all aspects of project management including all project resources (including partners/subcontractors), project planning, scheduling, risk management, scope management, internal and external communications, status reporting, and resource management (internal and partners).
5-15 years’ experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
Experience using Jira and Confluence, to track project dashboard, schedule, budget, project plans, operational plans, and routine reports
Working closely with engineering teams in a highly technical environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; engineers, product owners, and subject matter experts
Able to take complex technical requirements and translate to business terms
Skilled in running daily standups & sprint planning
Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
Able to work independently in a matrix based environment that is always evolving to our customers’ needs
Leading and motivating cross-functional project teams, with interactions at all levels of an organization
Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.
Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.
