Aetna is taking on a major initiative to redesign and rebuild many of its customer facing digital assets. This effort will include a completely new approach to building software within Aetna, using the latest design approaches, technologies, and processes. Aetna Digital, a newly formed startup like business unit within Aetna, will design, build and deliver completely new and integrated digital experiences for our users.

But we need help! Were looking for a Senior Product Designer in Burlington, MA to develop creative answers to complex design problems, and help re-shape healthcare for America and across the globe for generations to come.
WHAT YOULL DO
Be an integral part of the product lifecycle from start to finish
Help facilitate conversations between product, engineering, and other stakeholders to understand business goals, user value, constraints, requirements, and other work-defining inputs
Have a thoughtful and defined design process to work from concept-to-delivery
Articulate compelling stories around your work and the rationale behind your decisions
Develop and work against design best practices, heuristics, mental models, user and business objectives, and other objective measures
Work in low fidelity prototypes (Invision, Principle, Framer, etc.) and increase fidelity as you validate your design concepts
Work with Product Design leadership to help mentor junior team members
5+ years bringing digital products to life in web and/or native apps
Expert in Sketch, Invision, Zeplin, Photoshop and a willingness to try new tools
Intermediate experience with HTML & CSS
Experience working with developers/engineering teams
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Familiar with user-centered design philosophies

You receive feedback well and can iterate on your designs within a team structure
Awareness of how cognitive sciences (especially those around habit creation and motivation) can be applied to digital interfaces to reduce health insurance stress while also helping people create healthier habits
