Keurig Dr Pepper Manager, Strategic Partnerships & Contracts in Burlington, Massachusetts
The Manager, Business Development is responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting partnership strategies related to new and existing brand partners for beverages and beverage systems within the Keurig Dr Pepper Coffee Business Unit. The position leads technical and business partnership negotiations with internal and external stakeholders from business case development through deal closure. The role requires the ability to manage projects and build relationships with external partner entities while coordinating closely with internal functional stakeholder groups (e.g., Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Product Development, Legal, Partners Management, Finance, Sales, Marketing, International, etc.). Additionally, the position demands a keen ability to listen to the customer, assess and evaluate deal parameters, develop creative solutions, prepare and deliver presentations, manage cross-functional resources, partner with internal sales leadership, and influence key decision makers to deliver win-win partnership deals for KDP.
Example projects include initiating new K-Cup pack brand licensing, contract manufacturing, and private label beverage partnerships (both for At-Home and Away-From-Home channels), expanding existing partnerships, plus select appliance, accessory, and international partnerships. The role also supports the Partners leadership team on complex deals, including technical scenario analysis, financial modeling, and proposal and presentation development. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, project management, presentation, strategic thinking, negotiation, and analytical skills, be adept at building relationships, and excel at setting and achieving partnership and sales goals. This role reports to the Director, Business Development.

What you will do:
Identify and evaluate new co-manufacturing partners, existing partner expansion opportunities, and partner retention strategies
Prepare and deliver business proposals and presentations
Champion projects across Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Product Development, Legal, Partners Management, Finance, Sales, International and Marketing teams
Understand and validate technical feasibility requirements for co-manufacturing partnerships
Develop relationships with new partners and expand existing partnerships both in the US and internationally, engaging directly to provide added value and support
Negotiate manufacturing deal terms and translate into formal contract agreements (with Sales, Legal, and broader cross-functional teams)
Support KDP’s private label strategy including retailer RFP participation and contract development
Support overall partner portfolio strategy development
Research partnership opportunities within new business segments (technical innovations and brands) for growth/expansion
Act as primary strategic partnership point of contact for manufacturing partner relationships
Manage and execute ad-hoc strategy projects for senior leadership
Analyze market trends and internal and external data to inform strategic initiatives
Solicit new business opportunities which align to KDP’s mission, vision and values
Organize and maintain contract documents, summaries, deal excerpts, and manage cross-functional meetings
Follow all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by KDP and the department
What you must have:
3-5 years of experience in CPG or beverage industry marketing or general management, management consulting, finance, sales, and/or corporate development
Keen analytical skills and ability to influence/manage technical and business teams
Experience with manufacturing contract negotiation and strong negotiation skills preferred; ability to navigate high stakes environments
Excellent business insight, entrepreneurial spirit, and desire to grow the business
Significant project management experience and ability to handle multiple projects in parallel, including technical projects or those related to manufacturing, supply chain, new product development, etc.
Excellent presentation skills, communication skills, and ability to influence
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; Strong command of complex subject matter and dense material such as technical reports and legal contracts
Experienced user of MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field with background in project management, marketing, and business
MBA, postgraduate business coursework, or formal training in negotiation, sales and business acumen preferred
Ability to travel approximately 10-20%
