Oracle Director of Competitive Intelligence in Burlington, Massachusetts
Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market.
As a product analyst you will participate in every stage of the product life cycle to ensure product meets the needs of users. Drive the implementation of programs in support of the marketing strategy, business plans, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Maintains current status of customer specifications for existing and future products. Identify, evaluate, and recommend marketing opportunities in support of product line objectives. Drive product functionality delivering high quality product documentation. Lead products through scheduled release assisting others to manage commitments and resources. Measure and report progress and review deliverables.

Demonstrated product/project management experience. Ability to work with Executives. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

The/Director of Competitive Intelligence/will build programs and capabilities to help Oracle sales and product marketing compete more effectively around the world. As part of our corporate marketing team, you will develop an ongoing cadence to drive competitive awareness across Oracle’s portfolio of enterprise products, acting as a conduit between product marketing and sales. You will help create and execute win/loss analysis, product comparison/positioning, deal support, features matrix, and sales training.
Specific responsibilities include:
Understand the unique needs of different internal customers: sales, product marketing, and product management.
Create crisp and consumable compete content that will empower sales with confidence and credibility.
Synthesize research into actionable insights for marketing on how to develop highly differentiated product messaging.
Provide training sessions for Marketing, Sales and Partners.
Do win/loss analysis across major competitive scenarios.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
10 years’ experience in competitive intelligence as well as product management or product marketing within the technology sector, preferably Cloud, SaaS, Software
An exceptional communicator, who can write, present and effectively adjust messages to meet individual audiences and organizations
Track record of driving transformation and partnering closely with cross-functional teams
Passion for problem solving, including quantitative analysis, in a fast-paced environment
Excellent program/project management skills with ability to drive complex strategic and operational initiatives
Can translate high volumes of ambiguous or conflicting information into concise insights
Outstanding strategic thinker with a customer-centric mentality
Ability to build and leverage an informal network
Self-directed with ability to drive projects independently
