Oracle Director - Influencer Relations in Burlington, Massachusetts

Development of communication programs to promote Oracle's products & services.

Integrate advertising into the marketing campaigns, exercising judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques for best practice / creative solution. As a recognized authority and leading contributor maintain regular interface between the division and Corporate. Plan and manage pan-geography corporate and local campaign media plans. Plan, manage and implement corporate and local campaign advertising creative. Manage tier 2 local advertising and arrange sign off with Corporate. Integrate all advertising across the communications mix. Maintain and communicate brand advertising guidelines. Oversee partner advertising. Develop and manage brand communications audit. Measure advertising effectiveness.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience. A proven track record in advertising across line-of-business and/or geography as an account manager, with experience of creative production and media buying.

Director Influencer Relations

Oracle is seeking a Director of Influencer Relations to cultivate the company s strategic engagements with influencers who cover Oracle. As part of Oracle s dynamic and fast-paced global PR team, this role will help reinforce Oracle s position as a leading cloud company. In this role, the director will manage and grow relationships with influencers and independent analysts and drive an integrated communications plan across the company s Cloud portfolio.

We are looking for an experienced communications leader with a proven ability to:

Develop media/analyst relationships

Build credibility and trust with senior executives

Think critically and solve problems creatively

Lead integrated PR programs using strategic plans

Deliver results that support business goals

You should be results oriented, have a strong intellectual curiosity, be comfortable working within a matrixed organization and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment. A mix of agency and in-house experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Create and manage Oracle s independent analyst strategy.

Foster relationships with key influencers to help ensure favorable outcomes.

Develop communications strategy for influencers across Oracle s cloud portfolio.

Build credibility with senior executives and serve as an advisor.

Understand Oracle products, technology, issues that impact our business and the competitive landscape.

Identify story ideas to optimize coverage; utilize social tools to monitor conversations and identify new engagement opportunities.

Provide communications support and counsel to global colleagues. Anticipate issues.

Target new influencers who cover Oracle and competitors and develop relevant engagement strategies.

Manage all activities within defined budget.

Basic Requirements:

BA/BS in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations preferred

15 years of communications experience, including technology/product and thought leadership programs

Experience in enterprise software, cloud technology

Excellent writing, editing, and project management skills

Management experience

Ability to thrive under pressure

Position is based in Redwood Shores, CA with approximately 20% travel
