Robert Half Corporate Tax Staff Accountant in Burlington, Massachusetts

Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Corporate Tax Staff Accountant in Burlington, Massachusetts. This role is within the industry and involves supporting daily tax accounting operations. You will be tasked with handling tax calculations and provisions, reviewing files, and reporting income, gains, losses, deductions, and credits.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing ERP software systems for report generation.

• Conducting operational tax planning.

• Assisting with the preparation of Corporate C CORP 1120.

• Collaborating with an external CPA firm for most of the work.

• Reviewing files and annual tax returns.

• Conducting tax calculations and provisions.

• Preparing all domestic tax returns.

• Focusing on Sales and Use Tax as a minor part of the role.

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel to maintain and analyze data.

• Managing the month-end 3-day close process.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the corporate tax department

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems to handle various accounting functions

• Experience with Tax software is desirable

• Demonstrated knowledge of accrual accounting principles

• Experience in auditing, ensuring transparency and compliance with financial regulations

• Proficiency in managing Balance Sheet Account

• Ability to prepare and analyze complex tax returns

• Knowledge of C Corp regulations and compliance requirements

• Experience in handling corporate income tax matters

• Familiarity with corporate tax compliance principles

• Prior experience in a corporate tax department is advantageous

• Ability to prepare and analyze corporate tax returns

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes
