Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

You re a business practitioner and an internal advocate for Modern Oracle business intelligence and EPM cloud technologies.You can share your modern business practice and learnings via internal and external channels, including blogs and videos. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with product marketing and corporate communications to share Oracle on Oracle internal journey and experience.

What are the technical requirements?

  • 5-7 years in data analytics supporting a global business at Oracle or prior to Oracle.

  • Experience with data analysis and databases in a business environment with large-scale complex datasets

  • Experience in bringing creative ideas and proposals to development teams and executives supported by qualitative justification and quantitative analysis

  • Strong data manipulation, product analytics, and statistical analysis (e.g. multivariate hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions, etc.) skills.

  • Proficiency using Excel to create complex, scalable and robust models for scenario analysis and what if planning

  • Experience with SQL, and R, Python is a plus; visualization skills and experience with visualization tool (e.g. Oracle BICS, Tableau) is a plus

  • Familiarity and understanding of SaaS business drivers and problems. Ability to have a framework-driven process of analyzing business problems and developing solutions using data to influence outcomes and decisions.

  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to share insights in a way that is easy to grasp and actionable. Experience conveying key insights from complex analysis in summarized business terms.

  • Keen ability to develop relationships at all levels from executives to engineers to help drive adoption of data and insights driven decision making.

  • Experience designing and building out executive level dashboards to help make it easy for decision makers to access data, insights and reports

  • Experience with big data solutions and predictive modeling/statistics/econometrics

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in management, business, computer science or other equivalent

What will you do as a business strategist at Oracle?

  • You will build relationships with application development executives, engineers, product managers andfinance[LH1] business partners to drive an end-to-end understanding of data andreporting working[LH2] with business / product owners to understand and define their data and analytical needs.

  • You will elevate how we engage with internal and external stakeholders by continuously improving and simplifying the effectiveness of how we use data to drive superior decision making and outcomes to help grow the business.
