Brockton Hospital Technical Director Vascular Lab in Brockton, Massachusetts
Under the general direction of the Practice Manager and Medical Director, and in accordance with established department guidelines, serves as Technical Director for the Lab according to ICAVL guidelines. Maintains the clinical activities of the Vascular Laboratory and accurately develops and implements day-to-day operations. Accurately performs a variety of studies utilizing sophisticated electronic equipment and accurately develops permanent images or tracings that are then organized and collected as relevant information to be used by the physician. Supervise associates and the daily technical operations of the laboratory including patient scheduling, laboratory record keeping and the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Responsible for maintaining vascular lab accreditation.
High school diploma required. A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a health related field preferred. Must possess Registered Vascular Technologist credentialing.
Minimum experience of five (5) years in a Vascular Lab along with previous Carotid Ultrasound and Pulse Volume Recording Testing. Individual must have also performed a minimum of 100 cases in each of the following areas: Carotid duplex ultrasound, peripheral arterial physiologic test, and peripheral arterial duplex ultrasounds. Current BLS training course completion required.
