Boston University WEB & GRAPHIC DESIGNER, School of Dental Medicine, Office of the Dean in BOSTON, Massachusetts

The Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine is looking for someone who is excited about the opportunity to design and develop compelling and innovative web, digital, and print materials that improve user experience and raise the visibility of the dental school with key audiences while creating and maintaining a consistent brand identify for the school. You would play a critical role in maintaining and updating the school's website, including playing a central role in redesign efforts to improve user experience. You would also be responsible for creating visually compelling and brand compliant print and digital communications collateral, including event invitations, event programs, program brochures, etc. The right person for this role is someone who believes that the best design combines form and function in ways that create a visually compelling and intuitive user experience and convey information accurately and easily. The Web & Graphic Designer is responsible for other duties & responsibilities as needed to support the Office of Communications and External Relations in achieving its goals and strategic priorities. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary. Applicants are asked to submit a portfolio that includes 3-5 work samples that highlight their web design/development and graphic design capabilities. Degree in web design/development or graphic design is preferred.

Required Skills

Bachelor's Degree required and 1-3 years of work experience.

Other skills / requirements:

1) Experience managing websites through a content management system, with WordPress experience preferred.

2) Experience redesigning websites/pages with an eye toward improving user experience and navigation;

3) Experience with HTML and CSS, and Javascript

4) Basic familiarity with Google Analytics and a willingness to improve skills and knowledge on the job;

5) High attention to details;
