VP, Product Operations & Engagement

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer The VP, Product Operations is a key leadership position in Trellix’s Product organization. This role serves as a direct report to the Chief Product Officer and acts as the head of the Product & Engineering operations for Trellix. This position provides leadership and direction in product coordination/engagement, operations, Engineering Operations and Product Delivery. The ideal candidate will work in the Product organization and work with internal and external stakeholders especially in tight coupling with our Engineering, Research, Go-to-Market and Marketing teams. The ideal candidate must be passionate about the technology solutions, industry and the company's customers, offerings and employees. Excellent product operations, data interpretation, interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), negotiating & influencing and leadership skills will be critical.

As the VP, Product Operations and Engagement, you will oversee three key functions:

• Support Operations for the CPO

• Establish and lead a strong Product Operations framework and team

• Establish and lead a strong Engineering and Research Operations framework and team

About the Role:

  • As a key member of the Product leadership team, you will provide strategic and day to day support for the CPO including design, develop and lead implementation of solutions to meet business needs founded on a thorough understanding of business unit strategies and objectives, the competitive landscape, and current and potential future business challenges.

  • You will own and be accountable for Product Operations for the Product organization, leading and managing the Product and Engineering Operations teams.

  • Collaborates across product management, engineering, marketing and our field sales team to assure alignment of our product and services delivery

  • Promote a culture of success, pride, performance, discipline, and creativity

  • Lead and instill a sense of urgency for product and process improvement to meet and exceed customer requirements.

  • Develop and implement short- and long-range strategic plans with measurable goals that advance the organization’s vision and objectives.

  • Work with Finance and management team to ensure excellence in all operational and fiscal activities including staffing levels, budgets, compliance, and planning.

  • Manage leadership team activities including owning the agenda and action items for staff meetings; run quarterly business review and prepare meeting materials.

About You:

  • Your 10+ years of career experience must include leadership of product operations and engagement, especially the ability to lead through influence across functional and organizational lines.

  • Your background needs to include demonstrated experience in operations for product delivery and engineering best practices with a track-record of delivering and influencing product solutions

  • Experience driving operational best practices into a corporate environment.

  • Has demonstrated ability in recruiting and retaining high performing technical teams

  • Outstanding leader and team player who is comfortable with open ended problems and ambiguity.

  • You have a track record of communication skills and the ability to present both business and technical information to a wide audience including customers, peers, and team.

  • Your collaboration style includes soliciting the involvement of others to build a sense of ownership.

  • BS in Business degree, or equivalent

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, global transformation projects, and teams, in a fast-paced environment, combined with the history of inspiring rapid adoption of change in a matrixed organization with distributed live and virtual teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively; anticipate problems and opportunities; develop and implement vision

  • Effective change agent, can lead change, think out of the box, & make new ideas happen. Ability to communicate vision and strategy
