You will drive and manage our API-first platform covering all the Commerce Services and the Developer Tools on top of them for this $500M+ fast growing business inside Salesforce that is the world's leading B2C Commerce platform.You should:

  • Have a passion for Salesforce, our values, and especially the role the Salesforce Commerce Cloud plays in our success

  • Have demonstrated success managing an API-first product including delivery and usage of a large partner and developer ecosystem that consumes these API-products

  • Have command of the Commerce market, its connection to CRM, and a solid understanding of the profound changes this market is undergoing

  • Understand and believe in the unique characteristics of our approach to developer agility, low code / no code application development, and an AppExchange

  • Have a successful track record of working effectively in a highly matrixed and fast growing organization

  • Be someone who knows how to build and grow an outstanding product team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and execute the Commerce Cloud product strategy to secure leadership in the overall Commerce market, across B2C and B2B domains.

  • Partner with peer product leaders, engineering and business leaders to ensure that the Commerce Platform continues to support and differentiate our overall CRM strategy.

  • Be a leader in the continued growth of the Commerce Cloud ecosystem, specifically with our ISV, Developer and System Integrator ecosystem, to drive continuing expansion of our technology in the marketplace.

  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy & plan in collaboration with: marketing, sales, sales enablement, alliances, sales support and product teams

  • Develop and curate sales enablement assets including presentations, videos, demos, solution maps, white papers, data sheets, etc.

  • Responsible for the end to end product life cycle. This includes: market needs, product vision and strategy, roadmap creation and communication, release planning, requirements gathering, functional specification all the way through to customer enablement and success.

  • Work very closely with development, QA, user experience, documentation and other product teams to execute the Salesforce product strategy for Commerce Platform

  • Leverage market analysis, competitive knowledge, and customer research to define product roadmap.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills both internally and externally...this is essential to gaining buy-in and collaboration internally and supporting our customers and partners externally.

  • Engage directly with customers during pre-sales and post-sales implementations to ensure the product will help them reach their desired business outcomes.

  • Lead a team of product managers, designers, developers, quality engineers, and technical writers to build new features in an agile development methodology.

  • Perform the role of champion to promote and evangelize the product and new features with marketing, sales, support, professional services, partners and customers.

  • Create compelling demos for internal and external use.

  • Organize and support industry events, campaigns, customer advisory boards and social media communications

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 15 years experience leading a product line in platform space, demonstrated leadership experience in an enterprise technology organization or similar experience

  • Demonstrated experience in gathering and transforming product requirements into an actionable product roadmap

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in high-level business discussions.

  • Professionalism, dedication and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

  • Exceptional leadership capabilities and strong interpersonal skills. Has shown an ability to grow, develop, and retain top technical and product management talent. Has a deep understanding of development processes and methodologies, and has built or led a technology start up.

  • Undergraduate degree is required; a relevant technical or business (MBA) post-graduate degree is preferred.
