The VP of Product, Platform will lead the strategic vision and execution of our platform's evolution, ensuring it remains at the forefront of innovation and meets the evolving needs of our customers. The Platform team drives the overall architecture and deployment strategy of our product, Security and Compliance, Multi-cloud and Multi-tenant SaaS product offering and delivers world-class developer experience. All feature teams in DataRobot build on top of this platform and are key stakeholders in the team’s success.

By driving product excellence, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and championing customer-centricity, this person will drive transformative impact and partner with key stakeholders in our Engineering and GTM teams to make continuous improvements to our platform based on customer feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the platform through strategic planning and staffing of a small team of Product Managers

  • Deliver data-driven insights to inform and influence strategic product decisions across the full product lifecycle

  • Oversee multiple product cycles for the same product, ensuring continuous improvement and adaptation to market dynamics.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure successful development and launch of features.

  • Develop and execute a product platform strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives and our overall Product roadmap, with a focus on cloud-native solutions.

  • Set product roadmap to support key initiatives such as GenAI, Trial/PLG GTM, and Cost Optimization

  • Prioritize features and enhancements that drive value for customers using input from cross-functional leaders

  • Engage with customers and industry stakeholders to understand their evolving needs and challenges

  • Depth of knowledge in industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape in Cloud Native technologies, Security and Compliance requirements, Delivering SaaS products

  • Depth of knowledge in industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape in Cloud Native technologies, Security and Compliance requirements, Delivering SaaS products

  • Mentor & develop teams, and inspire the growth of top talents

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields or equivalent practical experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a Cloud-native product (either hyperscaler or startup on cloud): Enterprise software - experience with considering security & compliance in decision-making. Defining software platforms with billing, compute, storage, iam, and tenancy abstractions is critical. Designing Control plane and Data plane separation

  • 5+ years of demonstrated success managing a team of high-performing professionals

  • Experience in Product managing a platform for SaaS/Hybrid product

  • Experience overseeing Platform roadmap and collaboration with Engineering leadership

  • Track record of successfully bringing products to market, from conception to launch, with a sharp focus on meeting customer needs and capitalizing on market trends

  • In-depth understanding of technology landscapes and emerging trends, ensuring our products remain at the forefront of innovation

  • Strong business acumen, adept at aligning product strategies with broader business objectives and financial goals

  • Exceptional leadership skills, capable of motivating and empowering teams to achieve peak performance, while actively promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organization.

  • Proven ability to navigate challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, driving toward tangible outcomes

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adept at managing multiple priorities effectively, and championing change and innovation within the organization, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture for all

Preferred experience (has done before):

  • Transitioning from Enterprise Direct to PLG, On-prem to Cloud

  • Managing a global team (multi-location experience)

  • Experience with Hybrid product deployments with K8s

  • Multi-cloud experience across hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
