Working within the OPENPediatrics production unit, the videographer will be responsible for all aspects of content development within the production process, including script and storyboard development, video and audio capture, lighting, and post-production. Their efforts will be focused around transforming innovative medical procedures and research breakthroughs into simple stylized viewing formats.

This Videographer will:

  • Assist in the development of video projects; follow video projects from development through to completion and final output.

  • Develop clear and concise content from innovative medical procedures and research breakthroughs.

  • Documents and transforms innovative medical procedures and research breakthroughs into simple stylized viewing format.

  • Monitor the technical quality of all videos and maintain the digital library.

  • Assist with the security, operation, maintenance and purchasing of video equipment

  • Maintain cameras, lights and audio equipment as well as software upgrades.

  • Keep current in the field of videography and social media.

  • Distribute videos through on-line video hosting platforms.

    To qualify you must have:

  • Associate’s degree in Video Production, Fine Arts, Film, Radio/TV or related field. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

  • Direct video production experience may be substituted for education.

  • Excellent technical knowledge of all aspects of video production, including camera operation, lighting, editing, and posting. Basic knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

  • Skill in time management and the ability to manage multiple projects as well as some basic knowledge of academic medicine

  • The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.

  • Strong communication, written and social media skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively and independently.

  • The ability to be an innovative & strategic thinker.
