Ready State Video Producer in Boston, Massachusetts


We are looking for an organized, creative Video Producer to lead our workflows with our clients and collaborate with our creative team in a fast-paced environment. Our video content is focused primarily on long-form educational topics in tech.

As part of our team, you will get to work with some amazingly talented people (from both the agency and the client side), in an environment that emphasizes ownership, collaboration and creative problem-solving.

You will report to the Account Lead, and have ownership of projects, making sure we are firing on all cylinders to deliver work that we can all be proud of.

This role will require a love for detail, schedules, budgets, deadlines, but most of all, for learning, questioning, researching and reaching for the best final output.


  • Have a collaborative spirit and be invested in the success of your projects

  • Serve as the single source of truth around timelines at all points of a project, assuring that deadlines are met and deliverables meet stakeholder expectations

  • Create and maintain production trackers to centralize all deliverables for projects

  • Efficiently and effectively manage day-to-day problems, and communicate effectively in difficult and time sensitive situations.

  • Ensure creative quality of asset delivery that aligns to file specifications and best practices

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and crew

  • Lead client conference calls and meetings

  • Schedule and manage project crew ? booking talent, models, stylist, freelancers

  • Continually expand the studio talent roster including models, stylists and other freelancers, seeking client approval as needed.

  • Oversee production by working with project personnel (i.e. operators, stylist, retouchers, systems) to realize the client?s goals

  • Be proficient in all areas of Production, providing on-set back up as needed

  • Troubleshoot issues that arise on-set for resolution as needed

  • Continually oversee flow and quality throughout production ? troubleshoot discrepancies as needed

  • Always maintain the accuracy and integrity of the creative output, ensuring client?s style guide standards are being met

  • Work with the Account Lead to generate client invoices and reports


  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience producing video content in an agency or in-house creative setting

  • Demonstrable understanding of production processes and workflows

  • Proficient in Asana, G Suite

  • Knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Suite

  • Strong background in video projects

  • Strong critical thinking skills, detail oriented, and analytical

  • Calm under pressure, able to remain focused and organized while multi-tasking

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

  • Excellent attitude to client service and able to build professional relationships

  • Others would describe you as being outgoing and positive

    This position is full-time, can be done remotely, and will be based out of our San Francisco office in North Beach.

    Salary: commensurate with experience
