Job Description Summary

As a member of the Select Product Leadership Team, the individual will be a leader in the development and organizational execution of strategies that positions the product portfolio for long-term success. He/She will be responsible for functional discipline of either a line of business or state management as well as scaling best practices across all product management. The role has direct P&L accountability for assigned line of business or state management discipline, working in collaboration with underwriting and sales function. This position is accountable for ensuring Select Product Management resources are aligned with countrywide and regional needs, through consistent collaboration and communication with key stakeholders across the business. It is critical for this role to cultivate a deep understanding of current and future needs of the assigned portfolio as he/she leads the strategic capability development for Select. The role also has a matrix accountability to BI Product, expected to deliver market insights needed in the overall analytical efforts of the BI-wide line of business.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Key leader in the formulation and execution of overarching strategies that drive Selects financial results.

  • Leadership of the Select Product Management discipline.

  • Through collaboration with Regional Vice Presidents, ensure potential countrywide strategies align with regional deliverables.

  • Clearly communicate recommendations on factors that influence countrywide and local financial results to senior management.

  • Articulate and drive behaviors and actions throughout Select Product Management.

  • Manage Select Product Management budget including census and rewards.

  • Lead others to develop strong working relationships with business partners including business service centers, information technology, claim, actuarial, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Six years of experience in data analytics required.

  • Four years of Profit/loss management experience required.

  • Five years managing others required.

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, mathematics, management information, finance, actuarial science, economics or other analytics related field preferred.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • 10 years product management experience preferred.

  • Comprehensive P&C industry knowledge.

  • Experience in senior level "general management" functions.

  • Typically has in depth knowledge / experience in all Commercial product lines.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Pricing and Actuarial techniques.
