Business Analysis and Strategy Planning:

  • Supports risk oversight management of third party vendors for SSGA
  • Helps drive the creation of both BAU and strategic initiatives and plans to define and implement Third Party Risk Management for the SSGA business
  • Actively participates in assignments for large and complex business solutions initiatives across Third Party Risk Management
  • Builds and maintains subject matter expertise within SSGA’s Vendor Management team
  • Produces relevant presentations, reports for executive management and internal business partners
  • Presents information and prepares RFP responses about State Street’s Third Party Risk Management program to SSGA prospects and clients,
  • Engages across the industry to stay current on best practices around third party risk management in our peer organizations and as defined by our regulators
  • Acts as an advocate and change agent to implement recommended business solutions

Communication and Relationship Management:

  • Acts as a relationship manager engaging business leads and peers, interfaces with senior leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) across the organization; ensures service quality and customer satisfaction
  • Supports relationships with both internal and external clients and business partners
  • Persuades and influences courageously at all levels of the organization
  • Communicates recommendations to management/senior business leaders through effective written and oral communication


  • Identify and implement best practices in vendor management across third party relationships
  • Proactively identify and mitigate vendor risk. Oversee implementation of and monitor appropriate contract structures / types, pricing models, vendor incentive models, service level agreements, performance indicators and cost models
  • Identify and mitigate issues and risks, as well as assess the impact of alternative courses of action
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Participate in meetings with vendors to discuss strategic direction
  • Conduct periodic vendor reviews, evaluations and audits that consider performance levels and risk / compliance considerations as well as the vendor relationship
  • Aid in the oversight of the multi-tier governance model for managed services suppliers and with other business unit vendor management teams
  • Assist in driving efforts around vendor onboarding processes and awareness for stakeholders


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, MBA a plus
  • 10 years of experience in financial services,
  • Proven experience with business requirements analysis to meet critical business needs, must display an ability to drive tasks through to completion
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to interact and influence peers, managers and senior leaders
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated vendor management and / or project management experience
  • Strong relationship management with demonstrated ability to work across business lines
