Join our Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team and you will directly support and promote our brand and reputation. Through internal communications, public relations and corporate communications, you’ll provide a wide range of marketing and communications services to internal and external audiences. These include current and future clients, our current and future employees, alumni, regulators, the media and the communities within which we operate.

The opportunity

As an Associate Director in the Marketing function of EY’s Americas Financial Services Organization (FSO), you will help strategically position our story and technology platform offerings within financial services across Banking & Capital Markets, Wealth & Asset Management, and Insurance. You will be a critical part of a team that supports revenue growth and builds brand performance for our technology offering coupled with our advisory expertise and experience.

Your key responsibilities

Using domain and technology expertise as a foundational basis, this role successfully conceptualizes and executes integrated marketing campaigns with a focus on business outcomes. Through advocacy and building consensus with stakeholders in the practice, you will lay an essential role in helping meet marketing objectives and achieve revenue goals by coordinating integrated marketing, branding and communications activities, including the creation, management and deployment of thought leadership, marketing content, media relations, client events/sponsorships and digital marketing. While part of the larger marketing team, this role drives and supports the development and implantation of marketing strategy and supporting initiatives for our Americas FSO cross-sector technology practice. In this role, you will be working with a myriad of practice leaders.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies for technology solutions in financial services

  • Deep understanding of the Financial Services market as well as existing and emergent technologies across the enterprise

  • Thorough ability to conceptualize and deliver the full marketing mix including (but not limited to) messaging, PR, social, content across the client lifecycle, events, and digital marketing

  • Critical thinker who is versed in optimizing strategy, messaging, and tactics based on market needs

  • Effectively manages projects by developing work plans, obtaining approvals, estimating and tracking resource requirements and communicating with stakeholders

  • Experience at being adept in a matrixed organization developing B2B go-to-market strategy for technology solutions

  • Collaborator versed in building deep working relationships with peers and other internal network resources and engages with leaders effectively

  • An influencer who can negotiate and impact leadership decisions

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills and mental agility

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in converting complex technical concepts into compelling market messages

  • Excellent organizational, time management skills and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in managing projects and forming virtual teams working with various functions (i.e. marketing, BD, sales, etc.)

  • Self-motivating, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner

  • Proficiency at effectively managing multiple, complete and time-sensitive projects

  • Enable and demonstrate innovative thinking and follow through to action

  • Effectively drive and support multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • A minimum of 12 + years of related work experience. High technology marketing experience desired

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred

  • Demonstrated ongoing professional development preferred (i.e. certifications, badges, In Design Thinking, Agile, etc.)

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Ability to build and drive integrated, multi-channel marketing and communications programs that align with overall strategy

  • Adept at working closely with subject matter experts, manage the development and distribution of thought leadership content including white papers, surveys, research as well as digitally forward assets

  • Ability to direct and oversee the development of tactics for major events and industry conferences, digital and social media campaigns, website optimization, advertising, media relations, industry analyst relations and the defined outputs

  • Support a high performing team – work closely with team members to support programs that are meeting strategic business objectives

  • Support management of campaign budget, track the return on investment (ROI) activities, suggest adjustments marketing and communications programs based on effectiveness and provide reports and status updates to leadership as required

  • Serve as part of the wider marketing team to drive performance goals and assist with the delivery of a global integrated marketing strategy and plan

  • Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge on technology, brand, marketing, and communications issues and trends, as well as market issues in Financial Services
