Microsoft Corporation Technical Specialist Sales Manager-Modern Work in Boston, Massachusetts

Microsoft Technical Specialist Managers build, develop and lead teams of Technical Specialists to identify and win over the technical decision maker in the Business and IT department of our Enterprise Customers. You and your team will drive technical decisions at the customer that helps them achieve Business value with the Microsoft Platform, and thereby secure long-term sustainable growth for Microsoft. As a Technical Specialist Manager, you will be a key leader to helping customers embrace and succeed through digital transformation.

Responsibilities

Microsoft Technical Specialist Managers build, develop and lead teams of Technical Specialists to identify and win over the technical decision maker in the Business and IT department of our Enterprise Customers. You and your team will drive technical decisions at the customer that helps them achieve Business value with the Microsoft Platform, and thereby secure long-term sustainable growth for Microsoft. As a Technical Specialist Manager, you will be a key leader to helping customers embrace and succeed through digital transformation.

Primary responsibilities for a MW Technical Sales Manager

Scale Customer Engagements- Builds credibility with customers; owns resolution of blockers; ensures consistency and quality of customer engagements; orchestrates team resources and coaches team to maximize impact, selling time and achieve subsidiary objectives and strategy.

Scale Through Partners Maximizes area-level capacity and capabilities of scaling through partners and supports partner technical capacity

Build Strategy: Builds competitive knowledge of team; empowers team to influence compete strategies; identifies cross-workload strategy opportunities; acts as subject matter expert on a particular competitive discipline; drives competitive strategy for local markets

Solution Design & Proof: Enables customers to identify and resolve technical issues and accommodate complex requirements with next steps that guarantee deployment of Microsoft technology; drives integration solutions for industry relevance; drives advanced sales methodologies; drives new and innovative solutions; serves as the voice of the customer to Microsoft

Education Empowers team to develop technical expertise, provide insights to internal teams, and participates in high quality tech communities; acts as a technical thought leader

Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities Attracts, develops and retains talent; delivers results through teamwork; acts as a role model of Microsoft values; commits to performance management

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience

  • 5+ year(s) of People Management experience (including leading virtual teams).

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
