What You'll Do Here:
As a Technical Product Manager (TPM) on our team, you'll design strategic solutions that meet our growing market needs at scale across our SaaS infrastructure. In this role you'll have responsibility for performing the following:
Identify value for our internal customers by reviewing workflows, highlighting their challenges and discovering unmet needs. Working with UX, Engineering and Research, you’ll test your hypotheses and iterate on solutions.
Develop roadmaps and prioritize deliverables, while accounting for any potential constraints, with the goal of hitting objectives based on your understanding of the business drivers/needs and SaaS technology stack.
Be a team leader and incorporate the team’s perspectives in discovery work and roadmap development.
Build consensus for your roadmaps and link to business goals that are based on clear requirements.
Help promote a culture of excellence – making efficient and effective tradeoff decisions – while consistently delivering on time without compromising quality.
Communicate with team members regularly to share vision, roadmaps, progress, and dependencies as well as working with partners to align around dependencies, while working together to mitigate risks.
Help to define clear measures of success that are aligned to Cengage's corporate strategy, customer needs and business outcomes.
Regularly assess the business impact of released functionality and bring to bear new research, industry trends and other data that can provide new insights and improve outcomes.
Skills You Will Need Here:
4+ years of experience in software product management.
A track record of successful product launches.
Experience leading customer discovery efforts, including brainstorming, prototyping, testing, and iterating on solutions with customers.
Should ideally also have xperience with high growth or transformative companies, or within high-growth software divisions of larger companies.
Comfort working closely with software teams and engineers.
Proven track record developing analysis-based strategic plans to penetrate markets and develop successful products.
Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis to day-to-day management.
Proficiency with Agile, Continuous Integration/Development, DevOps SDLC models.
Experience in management and/or technology consulting highly preferred
BA or equivalent experience, CS or business degree a plus.
