Position Overview

The Innovyze team at Autodesk is making resilient water infrastructure accessible for all. Our industry marketing team connects customers to our incredible technology to create the new possible of drainage design, water distribution, asset management, operational analytics, stormwater, sewer, and flood control, and treatment plant management.

Autodesk is looking for a water industry Technical Marketing Manager to provide technical marketing assets, share insights, and help guide and participate in strategic initiatives that speak to our customers in a grounded and credible way. Activities will include direct interaction with strategic customers, the creation of datasets, creative assets, enablement tools, use-case scenarios, technical presentations, demand generation opportunities and more. You will also present and deliver technical materials in a variety of ways, including both virtual and in-person presentations, and you will maintain an active presence on multiple social platforms to share the impact and intention of our water portfolio. Location: North America


  • Create and deliver technical content in support of customer-facing marketing campaigns and initiatives, e.g. blog posts, social media content, feature and workflow videos, presentations, and whitepapers

  • Create technical sales assets for use by Autodesk and channel partner sales teams, e.g. datasets, presentations, and workflow demonstrations

  • Engage with customers as a technical evangelist, both virtually and onsite, to facilitate shared learning experiences

  • Attend and/or present on behalf of Autodesk at regional and international conferences and events

  • Create learning content on new and emerging technologies and deliver training to Autodesk and channel partner sales teams

  • Collaborate on assets such as messaging, positioning, keynote presentations, sales tools

  • Conduct ongoing, detailed competitive analyses and produce documentation regarding competitors’ strengths and weaknesses

  • Engage in alpha and beta releases to gain early insights into upcoming software releases and provide development feedback

  • Have the initiative and capabilities to self-start, while being inclusive, maintaining ties to strategy, and demonstrating excellent follow-through

  • Develop and maintain relationships with other professionals at Autodesk, including application engineers, solutions engineers, and customer success engineers, industry/product marketers, thought leaders, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of professional experience in hydraulic modeling, water asset management, process engineering, plant operations, or similar industry expertise

  • Knowledge of Innovyze software including InfoWorks ICM, InfoDrainage, InfoWater Pro, InfoWorks WS Pro, and Info360 cloud products; or similar water technology solutions

  • Experience in writing and presenting technical documentation

  • A passion for influencing the water industry as a technical evangelist

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively

  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with graphic design and media creation software, e.g., TechSmith Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.

  • Awareness or proficiency in Autodesk’s civil infrastructure portfolio including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Revit, and Autodesk Construction Cloud

  • Strategic awareness of current technology trends in hydraulic engineering, asset management, and operations, including digital twins, IoT, AI/ML, etc.

  • Global perspective

  • Ability to travel up to 25% (including international)
