The Monetization Strategy team drives global revenue growth across Salesforce products. We work closely with product managers, sales strategy, product marketing, and other stakeholders to design, create, and refine quantitative models and insights tuned to deliver revenue-driving opportunities and recommendations. We succeed by integrating these models into efficient business processes through close, collaborative partnerships with our stakeholders.

We are seeking a senior member of our Monetization Strategy to anchor and build a portfolio of quantitative models, strategic initiatives, and processes to scale usage-driven monetization strategies at Salesforce. The successful candidate will establish themselves as a trusted advisor to the CXOs throughout our organization, Sales Strategy/Programs leadership, Sales leadership, and Product leadership. You will tackle complex analytical problems and work closely with our Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Operations, and Product leaders to build relevant tools, processes, and workflows to drive scalable, customer-centric monetization.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with global sales leadership and product leadership to drive usage-driven monetization strategies.

  • Adept at piloting, prototyping, and iterating on new ideas in close collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Build monetization models, tools, processes, and solutions that provide robust revenue-generating recommendations that address critical business needs.

  • Work through all stages of the model development lifecycle: defining the business problem, gathering and structuring data, building and testing statistical, quantitative, and predictive models, and communicating recommendations and business impact to stakeholders.

  • Proactively manage and streamline monetization initiatives through all phases - from formulation, to modeling, to evaluation, and to deployment of data science/model features to dashboards for end-user consumption.

  • Partner closely with our business stakeholders to understand and support their geo/segment/industry-specific strategic goals, operational processes, and KPIs.

  • Comfortable with hands-on analysis and structuring large amounts of data to provide key business insights across disparate sources of data (Oracle, Hive, Hadoop, HBase, Spark, Kafka, AWS, MongoDB, etc.)

  • Design and scale self-service dashboards and tools tuned to drive revenue impact for Sales/Product stakeholders.

  • Drive consistency in processes, use cases, and requirements across technical and business stakeholders.

  • Streamline and leverage existing business processes to help increase awareness and relevancy of recommendations.

  • Communicate your findings and recommendations clearly and concisely with business stakeholders.

  • Continuously improve on existing processes, automate existing analyses, define best practices, and provide thought leadership around monetization initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics, finance, or other related field.

  • 8+ years of data-mining/analytics experience including applied techniques in data mining, machine learning, and/or graph mining, with demonstrated experience in time-series-related forecasting/predictions.

  • Expert in SQL/Python and Business Intelligence/Data Visualization tools, such as Tableau, Qlik, Domo, Looker, Einstein Analytics, Power BI, etc.

  • Solid understanding of RDBMS concepts, data structures, and distributed data processing patterns.

  • Demonstrated experience in programming pipelines in languages like Python, Scala, Java, etc.

  • Expertise in big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Snowflake, etc.

  • Interest in developing and improving data architectures to support analytics & ML needs.

  • Track record of guiding teams through unstructured technical problems to deliver tangible business impact.

  • Ability to lead, influence, and persuade cross-functionally in a complex, global organization.

  • Thrives in ambiguity and can adopt quickly in a rapidly-changing environment.

  • Ability to distill relevant problems, algorithms, and constraints from interactions with diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills while thinking strategically and operating effectively with executive management.

  • Excellent and diverse communication and project/program management abilities.

  • Innovative mindset with an eagerness to learn.
