The Opportunity and Who You’ll Work With:
Position Type: Permanent, Full Time, Benefits Eligible
Work Format: Hybrid
Schedule: This position will require mostly afternoon and evening work but there will be weekend events which will need to be covered. Flexibility in scheduling is a must.
WBUR has a public convening space called CitySpace which host all types of events including but not limited to forums, debates, musical acts and live radio broadcasts.
You will have experience in running Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH), and be familiar with running an audio mixing console, sometimes for live radio broadcasts. You will also be responsible for the operation of video equipment with the primary function of live online streaming and archiving of CitySpace events.
You will report to our CitySpace Technical Operations Manager and be responsible for technical aspects of each event. In addition, you will assist with event technical staff coordination and request temp/freelance help as needed.
Essential Functions:
(30%) Run audio consoles for Front of House and Back of House – also working QLab playback – requesting additional help when necessary.
(20%) Liaison for technical support of events including prior, during and after each event. Make recommendations to outside parties on how best to take advantage of our facilities.
(20%) Coordinate with the Editorial and Rental teams to make sure their event needs are met and offer guidance on lighting, audio and video design.
(20%) Work closely with the Technical Operations Manager to ensure the space is ready technically for each event. Also assist with room setup including tables and chairs.
(10%) Troubleshoot issues and coordinate repairs of the technical equipment within CitySpace.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent/relevant experience
5-8 years of relevant experience
