Meta Technical Animator - Twisted Pixel Games in Boston, Massachusetts

Summary:

Oculus Game Studios is seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior level Technical Animator capable of creating intuitive and efficient animation tools and rigs. The ideal candidate will have an extensive knowledge of Maya, contribute a high level of creativity and personality, have a team-oriented/collaborative approach to development, and is interested in doing what it takes to make the best games possible.

Required Skills:

Technical Animator - Twisted Pixel Games Responsibilities:

  1. Work with the character art team to produce professional rigs for animation.

  2. Produce tools to improve the efficiency of the animation pipeline.

  3. Work with designers and programmers on a daily basis.

  4. Work closely with Art Directors and Leads to ensure the highest quality assets are delivered.

  5. Proactive about making things happen.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 6+ years of direct experience in game development as a technical animator with successful shipped game experience.

  2. Extensive experience animating in Maya.

  3. Proven time management skills (for assigned tasks) and experience to handling large workloads efficiently.

  4. Experienced putting in the time and effort necessary to make a game great.

  5. Experienced developing animation rigs for characters and props.

  6. Experienced developing and maintaining animation tools and pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with scripting in Python.

  2. Experience with motion capture technology and its Maya pipeline.

  3. Experience with current generation game engines like Unreal, Radiant or Unity.

  4. Experience shipping PC/Consoles and/or VR games.
