American Tower Sustainability Intern in Boston, Massachusetts

The Team

American Tower Corporation is seeking an energetic Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intern to support our CSR initiatives and support the Sustainability team. The CSR Intern will build their skills in corporate sustainability while supporting broader industry change to realize meaningful environmental and social improvement. The intern will gain hands-on research, analysis, and presentation experience while also learning how businesses are taking action to improve their sustainability performance.

What You Can Offer Us (Job Responsibilities)

  • Support the sustainability program’s Digital Communities initiative, including researching global foundations, developing playbooks and guidance materials, tracking KPIs, and preparing presentations.

  • Support other projects related to sustainability, including benchmarking, reporting and assessments, and monitoring the external and regulatory environment.

  • Research market best practices to implement process improvements.

  • Support response to data subject requests as needed.

  • Assist with communications and CSR awareness campaigns.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications & Experience Education)

  • Student currently enrolled in classes leading to a bachelor’s degree.

  • Understanding of the corporate social responsibility sector.

  • Track record of managing projects and details successfully.

  • Strong interest, education, or experience in CSR and sustainability.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Consummate team player with excellent judgment and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.

  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment .
