Facebook Strategic Sourcing Manager, Marketing in Boston, Massachusetts

Summary:

You will be responsible for leading a team of Sourcing Managers that are responsible for developing and executing category strategies for Creative and Production services across all of Facebook’s Marketing teams. You will work closely with a variety of cross-functional teams including Marketing, Business Affairs, Legal, FP&A, Tax, and others as necessary. You are someone who is a self-starter and comfortable working with limited direction while taking full ownership of the areas of responsibility. You have experience managing a team and is someone who can solve problems, recommends pragmatic alternatives, and exercises good business judgment.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead and develop a team of experienced category managers to identify KPI’s and develop/achieve category objectives for Creative and Production aligned with the Global Sourcing team’s overall objectives

  2. Lead and participate in meetings with business leaders, across all Facebook teams and varied functions (Marketing, Finance, Legal, etc.) to establish both short and long-term business OKR’s

  3. Build strategic relationships with external suppliers/agencies and internal business partners to drive results and influence business decisions

  4. Scope and prioritize new sourcing opportunities to build strategic pipeline within project areas

  5. Lead global initiatives focused on standardization and optimization

  6. Advise on policies and make recommendations for continuous improvements

  7. Be accountable for collaborating with Facebook’s Supplier Diversity, Sourcing Operations, Buy Desk and Contracts Teams to identify and achieve goals and metrics

  8. Drive completion of simultaneous projects by proactively considering new alternatives and driving critical thinking to optimize results

  9. Support the creation and implementation of programs to assess and promote supplier performance and development (e.g., establishing quarterly and annual goals, conducting quarterly business reviews, formal scorecard measures)

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 9+ years of experience in sourcing across Marketing services or related

  2. Experience managing and leading a team

  3. Experience making recommendations and influencing senior executives on sourcing initiatives that challenge the status quo

  4. Experience working with regional teams outside the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree

  2. Experience planning and leading negotiations with large Global Agencies and then managing those relationships from a Sourcing perspective

  3. Experience in managing transformational projects that require high-level of change management

  4. Experience presenting to leadership and cross- functional partners internally and externally

  5. Experience working in Creative and Production services
