Location/Division Specific Information

The Chemical Analysis Division ( CAD ) features innovative analytics, from Lab to Line to Field. The business serves a wide breath of industrial markets including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, environmental, process minerals, mining, coal, cement and metals, as well as academic, government, safety, and security.

The role will be based out of Franklin, MA with 25% travel.

How will you make an impact?

This is a role with the Environmental & Process Management business within the Chemical Analysis Division, leading all aspects of the market-backed innovation and growth initiatives for Semicon and Biotech markets.

What will you do?

Innovation

  • Utilize standard methodologies for Voice of Customer (VOC) to understand customer needs

  • Collaborate with R&D to define and prioritize customer Jobs to be Done to identify organic growth and innovation opportunities

  • Uncover and understand digital trends and disruption to the end markets

Competitor & Market Intelligence

  • Follow and report on relevant industry trends, changes, and disruptions and translate insights into business opportunities and implications

  • Benchmark competitor activity and interpret market developments in order to develop dynamic strategies to win in the market

  • Strategize with product management on external inputs for pricing strategies

Market Development & Influence

  • Develop value propositions for targeted markets and applications

  • Segment, target, and position within chosen markets and work closely with commercial team and downstream marketing to enable sales success

  • Develop external partnership and collaborations in line with market growth opportunities

Influence Management

  • Coach the broader organization on market dynamics and what is needed across the organization to exceed customer expectations

  • Embrace our culture of continuous improvement through our PPI (Practical Process Improvement)

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, engineering, or related field required

  • MBA or other graduate degree preferred

  • B2B company experience preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years work experience, including some experience with marketing or strategy in a B2B setting

  • Experience in customer facing roles and/or translating market insights into opportunities

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Growth mind set and comfort with ambiguity

  • Self-starter and pro-active

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
