The Stewardship Coordinator position supports all members of the Office of Advancement, helping to achieve Suffolk University’s fundraising and strategic goals. Under minimum supervision, the Coordinator provides program support to the Director of Advancement Communications and Stewardship while working closely with the Stewardship and Donor Relations team.Responsibilities include supporting fundraising work of a highly confidential and complex nature, necessitating exposure to sensitive information and contacts requiring considerable discretion, judgment, tact and diplomacy
Uses various Advancement databases to independently gather and compile information to facilitate outreach and completion of time-sensitive stewardship projects.
Independently produces a variety of video, digital and print content for stewardship letters, reports and outreach that meet departmental and institutional standards.
Edits donor communications to ensure accuracy and high quality.
Manages stewardship projects by communicating with necessary constituents, gathering resources, crafting copy, proposing solutions to help meet deadlines, and providing written and oral updates to the Stewardship and Donor Relations team.
Organizes and manages outreach to students, alumni, donors, faculty, staff, etc. to support donor communications.
Analyzes and selects information from multiple sources to be used in stewardship materials and maintains sensitive files and records with discretion.
Maintains the calendar for Stewardship projects and events.
Develops and maintains inventory of Stewardship assets (including print, digital and video materials), Stewardship communications and outreach, as well as digital metrics and donor feedback.
Performs a wide variety of administrative and program duties relating to Suffolk University, including virtual and in-person donor recognition events (depending on COVID regulations).
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 to 2 years of related administrative experience.
Excellent writing skills and command of Microsoft Office products..
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strongmulti-tasking, organizational, and time management skills, customer service focus and comfort interacting with a diverse community are required.
Proactivity, creativity and a willingness to learn are essential.
Must have ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, take direction from more than one supervisor and handle difficult situations with ease.
A diligent work ethic and a capacity to thrive in a fast-paced work environment is essential.
Experience with video editing and Adobe apps preferred.
Standard hours for this position will be determined by the supervisor, but are generally from 9AM-5PM. Must be available to work evenings or weekends, as needed.
