Sr. Partner Development Manager(PDM) for Global ISV

Microsoft issearching for a talentedpartner development leadertolead the global engagement with a number of strategic ISV partners in the Manufacturing & Energy industry space. In this role you will engage at leadership levels to define, build, and execute an integrated partner strategy. This strategy will define how the partnership will envision, build, deliver, market and sell a new generation of industry focused solutions built on the Microsoft Cloud. You will also act as a sales leader to orchestrate and drive effective go-to-market (GTM) and co-selling activity. You will be responsible to work with your partners to define new solutions to address key industry gaps and opportunities, support them as they develop these new solutions and help to successfully drive partner revenue by helping to turn ideas into solutions into compelling partner business opportunities. You will maintain close oversight of the joint sales pipeline, support sales teams in closing strategic deals, and ensure sales alignment between both companies. You will be a leader and subject matter expert for the Microsoft / Partner joint business, representing all aspects of Microsoft to your partners and all aspects of your partners to Microsoft. You will also work closely with industry solution product and salesteams to define a broader GTM strategy for all key partner solutions to drive meaningful outcomes for our customers.

A strong knowledge of sales, distribution channels, marketing, partnership management,and cloud servicesis required.Effective communication skills are critical and the ability to present complex ideas and concepts to a wide range and size of audiences, fromsales and marketing managersto CEO level, is a must.

Success will be measured based on your ability to turn good ideas into successful businesses and to drive significant revenue impact through effective joint GTM and targeted and regionally aligned co-selling. This is a high impact role that willinfluencestrategicdirection, provide executive visibility, and allow you to demonstrate execution excellence.

Travelisestimatedas requiring10-25% oftime, asmost of thework can be donefrom home or through a local Microsoft office.


Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Operations, Computer Science or a related field AND 5+ years partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Business Science, or an advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or a related field AND 8+ years partner management, sales, developer, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience

OR equivalent experience.

  • Deep understanding of digital transformation business drivers, cloud platforms, capabilities and solutions that generate partner growth andinnovation.

  • 5-10+ years of experience in core sales experience, partner channel development, sales, business development, alliance management in the technologyindustry.

  • Experience working with industrial customers and partners especially in the Manufacturing and Energy space

  • Industry insight and working knowledge of manufacturing and energy solutions ecosystem

  • Exceptional ability to articulate both business and technical value of Microsoft Cloud Services to senior business and technical decision makers

  • Track record of creating repeatable and scalable sales motions

  • Demonstrated experience and success engaging with senior executives

  • Ability to work in an abstract, cross-organizational boundary and cross-discipline manner

  • Strong experience of managing virtual teams across functions and geographies.BS/BA degree

  • MBA or equivalent experience is a plus

  • Deep understanding of Microsoft technologies is also a plus

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $130,600 and $169,100.

At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
