Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$108,600.00 - $179,100.00

What Is the Opportunity?

The Sr. Manager, Actuarial and Analytics is an analytic leadership role that encompasses the management of assigned strategic initiatives and operational assignments which may include reserving, rate-making, pricing, planning/forecasting, project management and research. The individual in this role is expected to lead project teams of actuarial & analytic partners and provide analytical insights and recommendations to leadership and Business partners. The Sr. Manager, Actuarial and Analytics will work within broad limits and authority on complex assignments requiring specialized knowledge and expertise in breadth and/or depth in one or more of the following areas: Actuarial and/or research methods Advanced statistical analyses Broad business knowledge In-depth Line of Business knowledge Awareness of enterprise Actuarial & Analytics community. This role may act as a manager of a small team.

What Will You Do?

The team analyzes customer and marketing data, designs unbiased test and learns, delivers post monitoring on business initiatives, provides analytics support to our Marketing partners and liaisons with the Customer, Ops and Distribution Analytics teams.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute acquisition/loyalty/retention marketing initiatives for the personal insurance organization.

  • Provide analytic support to the Marketing partners (identify business data/analytics needed to produce most useful insights, support development of success criteria, develop and provide required analysis and analytical solutions)

  • Design unbiased marketing/consumer outreach tests and recommend metrics to measure effectiveness of such campaigns.

  • Mine large datasets to generate actionable insights that can improve customer value; tailor retention and cross sell/upsell strategies.

  • Evaluate quality of predictive models and suggest ways to improve accuracy of such models using new or existing data sources.

  • Applies descriptive analytics to analyze data and validate assumptions, with the ability to understand and clearly articulate results to broader audience.

  • Participate in a lead role to ensure the successful execution and completion of assigned strategic initiatives and projects.

  • Take ownership of assigned projects and meetings, make recommendations, and present results to business partners.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Solid experience in Analytics and structured problem solving.

  • Demonstrated intermediate analytic and diagnostic skills.

  • Strong PC skills (MS Office), programming (SQL, Python/R, SAS), visualization (MicroStrategy, Graph) and data aptitude (cloud).

  • Analytical thinker, competent at analyzing quantitative data.

  • Influence business partners; network and build strong partnerships with D&A community

  • Make data driven decisions

  • Adept at multi-tasking and energized by a fast-paced work environment.

  • Communication skills

  • Applies innovative and critical thinking skills.

What is a Must Have?

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required.

  • 3 years of experience in quantitative analysis required.
