Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health & AI. This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. We are unencumbered and will need your contribution to make it a world class engineering center with the focus on excellence.

Within the larger Oracle Health & AI organization, the Oracle Digital Assistant (ODA) is an Assistant platform that enables developers to create their own skills and digital assistants using the Conversational AI and Generative AI capabilities exposed to them in a low-code paradigm. The ODA team has been powering conversational AI experiences for all internal Oracle teams and several external customers for the past 7 years and is evolving rapidly to provide Generative AI solutions for the healthcare and enterprise domains. We operate in an agile environment with a substantial charter, high visibility, and support from senior leadership.

ODA is looking for an experienced Applied Science focused development manager who can build and lead a development team of Applied scientists and engineers to help solve difficult problems, be creative, create success for customers, and engage with the product team to do some innovative research and development. The ideal candidate should possess a strong research background, preferably with a master’s or PhD in AI and related fields, and have a proven track record in running successful AI projects. The candidate should also have experience in building and leading high-performing teams, with demonstrated leadership and people management skills.

  • Manage and control activities in multi-functional areas of sections to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.

  • Execute appropriate operational planning to meet corporate requirements and deliver AI products with exceptional quality and efficiency.

  • Lead the AI Product Development team in achieving objectives and targets, providing guidance and support to team members as needed.

  • Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the team, encouraging the development of cutting-edge AI solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align AI projects with overall organizational goals and strategies.

  • Utilize strong analytical skills to assess project progress, identify challenges, and implement solutions to ensure project success.

  • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and senior management, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of product development processes and methodologies, ensuring their effective implementation.


  • A master or PhD in AI or a related field, with a research background that demonstrates a deep understanding of AI technologies and methodologies, is preferred but not a must.

  • Proven experience in successfully running AI projects, from conception to delivery, with a focus on meeting deadlines and quality benchmarks.

  • Previous experience in building and leading high-performing teams, with a track record of fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $84,700 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
