Location/Division Specific Information
This position is in the CSD Strategic Marketing organization, in the Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing Division of the Specialty Diagnostics Group.
How will you make an impact?
You will make an impact by defining and implementing globally developed campaigns, whilst closely working with Product Management, R&D and Medical Affairs and regional marketing partners and support regional implementation.
What will you do?
Lead cross functional teams as an individual contributor to develop positioning and strategy for our comprehensive genomic profiling and translational research product portfolio in oncology applications.
Develop annual strategic and tactical marketing plans and network them with internal and external stakeholders. Update plans quarterly based on the market opportunity and channel feedback.
Develop messaging & tools that communicate the value/brand directly to the target audience through multiple channels, including sales force, digital marketing, events and word of mouth strategy.
Develop and Cultivate external experts as collaborators and speakers during these educational activities
Maintain relevant knowledge of competitive activities and develop effective countermeasures.
Evaluate effectiveness of channel programs and improve upon them.
How will you get here?
Bachelor's Degree in Genetics, Molecular Biology, other related science fields required
Master's Degree or PhD strongly preferred
6+ years marketing, sales or product development role in life science/diagnostic industry preferred
4+ years' experience with NGS and or genomics technologies, products and/or applications, or in oncology genomic profiling preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Customer focused, results driven and demonstrated business acumen
Able to develop, align and execute impactful tactical plans with clear objectives, quality deliverables and key performance metrics.
Ability to work on problems of routine to diverse scope.
Ability to influence at a senior level without direct authority.
Ability to identify problems, propose resolutions, answer questions from customers and sales colleagues, gain cooperation of others to implement efficient solutions.
Proven experience in a strategic role working collaboratively and independently to drive results
Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey clear messages to internal and external stakeholders
In-depth knowledge of next generation sequencing (NGS), key market players, and oncology applications preferred
