The purpose of this role is to work with the Investor Relations team in fostering strong external relationships with the investment community and successfully communicate CBRE’s financial and strategic objectives. In that capacity, the position provides complex research, reporting and interpretation of global, national, regional, local and/or business line performance metrics, and assists with the development of strategic and financial external messaging. This role will also coordinate external events and develop relationships with external analysts and investors.


As an Investor Relations Analyst, you will support and participate in all aspects of Investor Relations, including conducting investor-focused analyses, developing investor messaging and executing investor events. You will also develop collaborative relationships across our organization to gain a deep understanding of the facets of CBRE’s business, and the facts, details and trends that are relevant to the investment community. The duties of this position are diverse and challenging and consist of, but are not limited to, supporting the development of written materials, conducting industry research to analyze facts and statistics related to IR activities, and maintaining and communicating competitive intelligence. Responsibilities include:

Gather, review and synthesize financial models prepared by sell-side research analysts and consensus earnings estimates. Prepare relevant analyses, such as comparison to the company’s internal forecasts.

Assist with collection of information on an ongoing basis relating to stock market and investor/analyst areas of focus (e.g., financial performance, business strategy, growth opportunities) to provide to senior management and the company’s Board of Directors.

Provide ongoing analysis of peer companies and the industry – including presentations, earnings calls, financial reporting, disclosures, and websites – to evaluate competitive positioning and relative messaging on various topics.

Assist in preparation of investor presentations, earnings announcements, press releases, speaker notes, Q&A documents and other external and internal communications.

Support IR team in planning and executing all external current/prospective shareholder engagement activities, including non-deal roadshows, in-house meetings, and conference appearances.

Monitor stock performance and maintain strong relationships with market makers and traders.

Lead competitive intelligence and sector analysis and reporting.

Manage inbound investor requests.

Maintain and update content on Investor Relations website.

Manage IR team’s earnings calendar and process, including cross-functional coordination with Legal, Accounting, and Finance.

Plan industry investor conferences.

Schedule and participate in investor calls.

Work with the Investor Relations team in developing clear and effective investor messaging.

Establish and maintain strong working relationship with team members in other departments and executives to stay abreast of relevant internal developments.

Assist with other ad-hoc projects and deliverables as needed.


No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams plan and supervise assignments of lower level employees

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university required. Master's degree or progress towards CFA helpful. Minimum of 3 years of related experience and/or training.




Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.


Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.


Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.


Advance experience in MS Office Products (Excel, Access, Power Point, Word, etc.). Experience with Bloomberg, FactSet and/or Capital IQ helpful. Self-service/web-based application experience desired.


Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
