The Manager / Senior Manager of Data Analytics, Product Marketing, is responsible for analyzing Medidata’s internal data to create evidence-based marketing messages for our end-to-end platform of clinical trial products and services. This position reports to the Senior Director, Product Marketing for Platform. The position will:
Act as the repository of all previously developed product related-metrics knowing how and when they were developed and by whom and for what customer(s)
Work closely with our product marketing leaders to create evidence-based messages that demonstrate the value of our products to customers
Partner with our Acorn AI, Value Team, marketing operations, and data analytics teams to source and analyze relevant data sets
Generate relevant metrics, proof points, and analysis that highlight the positive impact of Medidata products and services
Collaborate with relevant product teams to help them translate the value of new products and features into evidence-based proof points
Provide data and analytics support for the creation of relevant product marketing collateral, including slide decks, fact sheets, infographics, case studies, white papers, and videos
Provide marketing support to the sales team in generating evidence-based content and collateral, as needed
Build and maintain database of evidence-based marketing messages, including sources, refresh dates, and relevant products
Research and report competitor capabilities and initiatives, as they relate to evidence-based marketing messages
Understand the pulse of customer needs and how our evolving offerings can best meet those needs
Support additional product marketing activities, as needed
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
Strong collaboration, influencing and organizing skills
Strong critical thinking and problem diagnosis skills, creative problem solving
Experience in devising ways to extract data from multiple sources and translate that data into useful and impactful information
Detail oriented when sourcing, combining, and analyzing large data sets
Understanding of advanced data analysis tools and techniques
Strong communication skills to explain complex analyses in a clear, structured, and concise manner
Ability to be adaptable and flexible while responding to deadlines, delays, and unexpected events
Self-motivating, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner
Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Proficiency with data visualization software (Tableau, Spotfire) and analytic platforms (SAS); coding experience (SQL, Python, R) a plus
Your Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline, or equivalent experience; Master’s degree or MBA a plus
Knowledge and experience in the life sciences industry - especially in clinical development - a plus, but not required
Previous experience in analyzing large, complex datasets
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in data sciences, analytics, life sciences, or other relevant field
