CVS Health Sr Advisor Digital Healthcare Strategy in Boston, Massachusetts

As a leader in the Digital Strategy team, this individual will both help develop our long-term Enterprise digital strategy as well as execute it, ensuring we translate our longer term strategic vision into products and solutions that help meaningfully address the core health and wellness needs of our members, customers, and patients. This is a unique role that will marry business and strategic rigor - requiring a person who can take complex problems and apply a structured approach to problem-solving - with an innovator’s creativity and “think customer” mentality - with an eye and passion towards building meaningful products that consumers use and love. The role will both influence our 3-5-year strategic digital vision as well as bring-to-life a customer-focused innovation process to ensure we consistently keep our customers’ needs at the heart of what we do. To be the healthcare change agent we are seeking, this person must be an entrepreneurial, high-energy, intellectually curious individual who can thrive in a high demand, performance-driven environment. This individual must be comfortable working with a high degree of ambiguity, working cross-functionally and influencing others, have strong business instincts, and a track record for delivering results.Responsibilities: • Be willing to approach the big, hairy, unstructured problems prevalent in healthcare today, with a burning desire to do your part to solve these, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to do the hard work required to get it done • Be able to develop a structed approach to solving seemingly intractable problems, including: scoping out the problem and identifying the key questions that need to be answered to get to a solution; developing a systematic approach to answering these questions; convincingly synthesizing outputs of your analysis, iterating where required; building buy-in with stakeholders along the way; and communicating outputs and insights in a compelling way • Be able to think and operate both at the highest, portfolio-wide level (go wide) and at the most granular, “moments that matter” individual step of the customer experience level (go deep), with a desire to move between both to ensure we effectively translate strategy into execution in a way that drives positive customer outcomes • Be relentless in your focus on what’s important to the customer - their end-to-end experience with us, and the actual consumer outcomes we deliver – and in your orientation to value – and how we can maximize this for consumers, for our business, and for the healthcare system at large • Be able to juggle multiple balls in the air: assisting and advising strategically across a broad portfolio, while also owning and delivering against key initiatives with your name against them • Be able to work closely with key stakeholders from across our business (different Business Units, delivery partners, IT, Legal) • Be accountable and live your sense of “ownership.”
EITHER a Bachelor's Degree Plus, a minimum of 5 + years of experience in one of the following areas: A strategic/business planning role (eg ex-Mgmt. Consulting, Corporate Advisory role) A healthcare strategy role (i.e. BU or Corporate strategy role from payor, provider, pharmacy, other healthcare) A digital strategy role (healthcare or related fields) OR an MBA/MPh and a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a strategic/business planning role per above.
Previous mgmt. consulting experience is viewed as highly desirable (though a love of PowerPoint is not!) as is knowledge of health care and digital. Previous health experience (including MPh) and/or experience with digital health and wellness services Previous digital strategy experience
Bachelor Degree Required Preferred: Master's/Advanced Degree Or equivalent work experience
