Develops the sales plan to fulfill the growth and revenue goals of the organization. Responsible for ensuring maximum sales volume of Patheon Logistics services including: Specialty Logistics, Pharmaceutical Samples, Preferred Carrier Management, Freight Forwarding, International Air, & Government. Manages all aspects of the sales function including; development of client relationships, outside sales and transition of new business to the Account Executive or Operations team. This Sales Executive will identify the best ways to meet customer need and position Patheon Logistics in the best possible way to achieve revenue objectives.
Identify and secure sales opportunities consistent with Patheon Logistics' strengths, while developing and implementing the sales strategy to secure these accounts.
Maintain effective customer relations with purchasing and end users within assigned territory
Leverage available resources to meet customer needs and work effectively with cross-functional team of internal resources
Drive sales strategies to meet plan and expand business within assigned territory; Maintains a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives; generate and qualify leads, perform outbound marketing campaigns
Works with internal personnel (operations, account executives) to identify ways to optimize services (existing and future) and drive RFP success by demonstrating leadership with account specific targets/plans to drive growth
Perform sales call with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory
Research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data in the business plan; Introduces new products and services
Show initiative to develop programs to drive growth in any economic condition
Manage pricing within territory to control profitability
Achieve sales targets additional MBOs as needed
Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files necessary to meet job requirements
Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations
Engage and participate in a practical process improvement (PPI) environment.
Strive for continuous improvement and complete required training as needed Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Business or Science
5 years of relevant transportation/logistics industry-specific experience
Strong sales experience and leadership abilities
Excellent business skills
Advanced selling and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to develop creative growth strategies and guide successful execution, including acquisition integration.
Demonstrates passion and enthusiasm for an organization's vision, and achieves organizational goals
Self motivated with a bias for action
Effective negotiation and influencing skills

Ability to travel 50% + of the time.
