Strategy and Transactions Solutions Activation Strategist

Our Business Development function brings together business, sector, and account knowledge along with EY competencies and solutions to meet unique client needs. The Business Development Organization shares and drives an integrated growth strategy across the largest accounts, industry sectors, solutions, and services, demonstrating and achieving market leadership through a client-centric culture.

The opportunity

The Strategy and Transactions Solutions Activation Strategist provides deployment support for strategic go-to-market programs, initiatives, campaigns, and solutions for the Strategy and Transactions service line. You will work closely with leadership to determine the activities and actions needed to implement solutions activation programs that grow pipeline and revenue while driving profitable growth.

Your key responsibilities

You will play a key role in idea generation, project management, execution, and measurement of go-to-market programs and initiatives for the five Connected Capital Solutions within Strategy and Transactions: Strategy Realized, Buy & Integrate, Sell & Separate, Corporate Finance, and Reshaping Results. The key performance measurements for this role include solutions revenue growth, sales and pipeline management, delivery of exceptional client service, and people and engagement teaming. You will be expected to team with service line leaders on key go-to-market initiatives to develop and implement strategies that enable solutions activation, serving as a program manager and coach.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Act as a connector across service lines, regions, and key account teams, driving strategy and activation through strategic program management, communications, and meeting facilitation

  • Work closely with business development and service line team members to identify business needs, determine target audience/accounts, co-develop action plans and drive execution

  • Understand, interpret and analyze pipeline and sales reporting, leveraging firm tools and data

  • Interpret and synthesize pipeline information, including communication of key trends, opportunities and action plans specific to the program, initiative, campaign, or solutions

  • Possess a keen eye and desire for process improvement and driving efficiencies

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Approximately 7-10 years of experience, previous experience with account management, or have worked in a business development organization

  • Strong influencing skills are required to work with other members of the business development, service line, or market segment/industry sector teams to drive results

  • Ability to collaborate effectively and efficiently with other functional groups within EY

  • Team player, willing to get involved in all aspects of projects

  • Strong executive presence

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills

  • Strategic and creative mindset

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • In-depth knowledge of the firm’s account management framework and strategic relationships/opportunity tools and processes

  • Knowledge/expertise in the firm’s solutions and service offerings

  • Strong business/commercial acumen and an understanding of major industry sector trends

  • Ability to adapt quickly to an ever-changing environment

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple complex projects simultaneously

  • Ability to utilize influencing skills, think strategically and proactively to drive results

  • Experience or interest in creating reporting dashboards
