Senior Technology Product Manager - Clinical Decision Support

Waltham, MA; Chicago, IL; or Remote

You will be a key member of the Wolters Kluwer Health Clinical Effectiveness team leading strategic initiatives to advance clinical decision support in the provider segment (acute and ambulatory healthcare settings).

In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams in discovering, prototyping, defining, and bringing to market products and solutions with intuitive workflows and experiences. You will do so by leveraging your product management skills including customer and market research, competitive analysis, lean experimentation, requirements gathering and definition, roadmap prioritization, positioning, and driving cross discipline teams.

The ideal candidate is curious, customer-focused, passionate about solving the complex problems facing healthcare organizations and their providers, and comfortable with the “build quick, fail quick” mentality of agile development. The position requires a track record of working on innovation and early product concepts and possess a comfort level with the pace of change and level of ambiguity that accompanies this.

*This position can be based out of our offices in Waltham, MA or Chicago, IL, or work remotely, anywhere in the U.S.**


  • Establish deep understanding of trends, shifts, pain points, technology in the provider segment through primary and secondary research

  • Develop customer-driven, testable hypotheses

  • Conduct rapid experiments, prototyping, and other learning activities to move concepts through the development lifecycle and inform go/no go/pivot decisions

  • Document and communicate customer, user, and business requirements

  • Lead product activities across functional teams to ensure coordinated, on-time product delivery

  • Participate in pre- and post-sales activities as the product expert

  • Help manage research/pilot/beta sites

  • Establish and communicate KPIs including adoption metrics, perceived value, and ROI; monitor and measure customer performance against KPIs

  • Collaborate with customer success, life-cycle marketing, and other cross-functional teams to drive product awareness and adoption and engage users and clinical leadership over the lifetime of the account

  • Facilitate documenting and sharing lessons learned, best practices, and success stories within the customer's organization, with CE cross-functional teams, and when approved with other customers

  • Advocate for the customer and user internally driving customer-centric design, development, and service


Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience

Required Experience:

3+ years of product management experience preferably in healthcare and/or SaaS environments including:

  • Experience and confidence in leading early-stage product development including discovery, development, and iterative testing/ learning

  • Experience in designing products that address customer problems balanced with business goals

  • Willingness and ability to advocate for the customer and the product to internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience closely partnering and collaborating with a diverse set of cross-functional teams

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience bringing products to market and managing them in market

  • Understanding of ambulatory and/or inpatient provider workflows

  • Familiarity with data interoperability, clinical terminology, clinical standards, or EHR build and configuration tools

  • Work/worked as a nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or nurse

  • Strong verbal and written communication; ability to clearly communicate across levels of the organization

Travel: up to 10% travel
