WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Act as a central team member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Center of Excellence and work with colleagues to design and execute priority initiatives to support, develop and retain employees identifying with under-represented populations. Manage several affinity groups, including Latinx at Bain (LATBA) and Asians at Bain (AAB). Support key analytic, operational & communications activities, including global/regional initiatives, communications, tracking and related tasks.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Drive efforts designed to strengthen community, foster experience sharing and elevate the brand and awareness of the Latinx and Asian community at Bain, both internally and externally.
Manage community building and communications strategy
Develop and maintain communications calendar (e.g. calls, emails, newsletters)
Develop and drive all communications and connectivity, in partnership with local affinity group contacts, in particular launching creative and interactive ways to engage members, allies, and alumni (virtual, video, etc.)
Manage internal video strategy and work with Video team to develop videos and execute distribution plan
Develop marketing campaign and ensure local programming for marquee affinity group events/office-wide celebrations
Work with office champions/teams to align on theme and approach
Draft regional/office-wide communications and other collateral
Partner with social media team for creative campaigns
Play a central role in external presence, rankings and messaging
Identify opportunities to enhance external brand, and serve as primary owner for writing essays, completing applications, etc
Advise on social media postings, in partnership with diversity recruiting team
Drive execution of annual conferences/events
Help to design agenda and content-related aspects of the event
Develop/manage major pieces of content development
Help in all of the ‘experience’ details that go into a major event, partnering closely with the event associate
Identify and support Bain engagement in other conferences (e.g. L’ATTITUDE), including post-event debriefs and learnings
Monitor Bain’s internal and external sites + affinity group e-mail account on a regular basis
Support critical development and support efforts for Latinx and Asian employees across the entire firm
Work closely with the DEI Center of Excellence (COE) and affinity group leadership to identify critical PD/development and support priorities
Support the design and execution of priorities, potentially to include:
New hire onboarding
Sponsorship and mentorship programs
PD panels and/or targeted training efforts (e.g. thriving training)
Manage, run, and analyze pulse checks and surveys, also incorporating in data from broader firm-wide surveys to generate insights
Work with People Analytics team to create pipeline tracking and reporting
Identify key trends from exit interviews and apply back to existing efforts
Manage critical operation tasks that align with regional priorities
Work with diversity recruiting team to support execution of recruiting strategy, including developing/adapting content for use with recruits
Partner with other affinity group leads/team members on cross affinity group initiatives (e.g. ally program) and continued experience sharing
Help to design content and execute stakeholder calls (e.g. Steerco, champions, community)
Organize affinity group socials/events during existing Bain events (e.g. Leadership Team Meetings, Bain World Cup, tenure based trainings, alumni receptions, etc)
Maintain central repository for shared resources across LATBA and AAB (e.g. Sharepoint or Case Cloud)
Create and manage repository
Actively identify/source new content and communicate to stakeholders (e.g. local office materials, facebooks, etc)
Where appropriate, set up and manage relevant “sub-groups” (e.g. Champions) with specific content
Keep track of local plans
Work with People Analytics and Team Operations Associate to ensure membership and distribution lists are kept up to date
Send monthly new hire updates to affinity group champions (e.g. Outlook add-ins with start date)
Support other priority initiatives as needed
ABOUT YOU
BA/BS degree required with strong academic achievement,
3-6 years of experience is the ideal range; range is open for current Bain employees
Bain experience preferred but not required
Strong analytic capabilities
Demonstrated ability to use data to generate insights and recommendations
Ability to translate insights into powerful presentations and reports
Strong knowledge of Excel required (for example Pivot Tables, models), PowerPoint; Qualtrics, SPSS experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to write and present content to senior level staff
Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with the highest levels of professionalism
Confidence in collaborating and presenting to an executive level audience
Passionate about diversity at Bain
Comfort in juggling a broad set of priorities; strong project management skills
Solid organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong process skills of follow up and follow through
Superior judgment when dealing with highly confidential information
Demonstrated ability to ‘push thinking’ and think of creative new ways to achieve our goals
