Position Location: Highly prefer candidates based near Columbia, MD/Dallas, Texas/Austin, TX or Burlington, MA . The role is based in North America and requires close coordination with a virtual team.

Travel Component: Minimal. Approximately 0-10% travel will be required to fill this role successfully.

Job Description

Oracle Hospitality is seeking a Senior Social Media Specialist with proven expertise at creating, managing, and publishing compelling, brand-worthy social media campaigns and content for technology and the hospitality industry. This individual will execute across a common calendar, monitor key metrics and drive best practices across the community. This position will collaborate on high-priority campaigns and projects and will partner with members of the social media center of excellence as well as with other internal teams and external partners to develop and execute projects.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate has a strong mix of creative and analytical skills. He/She will have a deep understanding of global social media platforms, measurement, and how to integrate with public relations and marketing teams. Understanding the sales and marketing funnel and how social media can expand the reach of content, attract visitors to owned web properties, and generate leads is also required. He/she will additionally assist in slicing and dicing bigger pieces into bite-sized interpretations, write regularly for the Oracle Hospitality blog, and support both our social media expansion and our growing focus on digital content and demand generation.

This is an individual contributor role where the candidate should be proficient in content marketing, experience sourcing and managing content for a global brand, and international experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage social strategy and execution process on core platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube

  • Create, curate, adapt and manage content for specific initiatives/social networks. This includes developing copy for Twitter, sourcing images and graphics to accompany Facebook and Twitter posts, taking and curating photos and videos for the social platforms, and developing post copy that drives engagement and awareness

  • Develop and help execute editorial calendars and publishing schedules for social content, blog, promotions, internal and external newsletters, and campaign activations

  • Curate and manage blog content by working with the strategic content lead, product marketers, and industry influencers

  • Collaborate with campaigns team, event team, PR, and other key stakeholders to ensure all promotions via social media are coordinated and consistent

  • Partner with the team’s digital marketing expert to integrate organic and paid social activities to optimize overall ROI

  • Monitor social channels to identify and engage influencers and fans

  • Identify new and innovative ideas and capabilities to build audience and engagement

  • Monitor performance metrics and platform updates and optimize execution accordingly

  • Knows how to source a constant flow of creative and engaging social content

  • Can deliver a consistent, compelling voice

  • Exercises sound judgment to produce sparkling social copy on a tight deadline

  • Obsesses over the details that separate great from perfect

  • Must be a self-starter, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimum supervision in a remote work environment

  • Enjoys working with a diverse set of stakeholders, and balances competing priorities and opinions gracefully

  • Values teamwork and collaboration

  • Effectively understand business goals and strategies to create social programs that strategically support them

Experience:

  • Has experience in and shows a passion for the hospitality industry

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of social media experience with strategy and execution management

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully executing social programs that include growing followers, engagements and demand conversion

  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.

  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills with an ability to work independently

  • Strong understanding of best practices for social marketing and community management and development

  • Ability to interface and collaborate with all levels of management and cross-functional teams

  • Strong ability to operate as a social content curator of interesting and compelling content to share across communities

  • Strong understanding of key social media KPIs, analysis and reporting

  • Must have experience managing social media publishing and listening tools (Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Buffer, Sprout, SRM, etc.)

  • Is a Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary (i.e. content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).

  • Strong organizational skills

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Development of communication programs to promote Oracle's products & services.

Integrate advertising into the marketing campaigns. Maintain regular interface within the organization and with external suppliers and agencies. Plan and manage pan-geography corporate and local campaign media plans. Plan, manage and implement corporate and local campaign advertising creative. Use professional concepts, company policies, procedures and own creativity handling local campaigns - and arrange sign off with appropriate management level. Integrate all advertising across the communications mix. Maintain and communicate brand advertising guidelines. Provide support and input when assisting with partner advertising. Manage resources within the terms of project budget. Develop and manage brand communications audit. Measure advertising effectiveness.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Five years relevant work experience. A proven track record in advertising across geography, five years experience, within a reputable global agency or major industry leader.
