The Senior Program Development Manager will support the development of packaged offerings, consisting of existing Oracle software, Cloud, service and hardware components structured in an Oracle Financing wrapper.

This senior-level individual contributor role will carry multiple responsibilities throughout the business development process, including:

  • Serving as the organizational point of knowledge concerning Oracle product roadmaps

  • Participant in initial solution brainstorming discussion

  • Partner with Oracle Product Marketing to assist in messaging, packaging and promoting OFD programs

  • Requirements interpretation and conceptualization of initial solution packages

  • Interface with OFD Product Development to collaboratively develop, analyze and iterate supporting financial models

The role will report to the Oracle Financing Global Program Development Director and work within a multilevel matrix environment of resources from multiple Oracle disciplines and departments. The role will collaborate directly with OFD and Oracle product development, marketing and sales resources to create and market packaged product program offerings.

Previous experience in one or more of the following disciplines, product management, product marketing, business development, Sales Consulting and/or program management, with Oracle software, Cloud and hardware systems is desired. Business / Financial acumen, including pricing and financial modeling experience, is required.

Oracle Financing closes nearly $2 billion annually, supporting all Oracle Products and Services and alliances and channels business partners business, in over 60 countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated offers featuring Oracle’s financing and leasing solutions (from concept to launch – working in conjunction with marketing and other resources).

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive network of product expert contacts across the company.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive snapshot of Oracle product roadmaps.

  • Participate in team efforts to proactively and continually identify and advocate Oracle Financing involvement in key corporate product initiatives.

  • Develop and implement packaged programs and promotions in alignment with the Oracle Financing Global Marketing team, Program Development Director, Regional Sales Directors, Channels, Product Marketing, Product Management and Oracle Direct (Telesales).

  • Identify and recommend messaging opportunities to correspond with program development initiatives.

  • Act as a virtual team liaison for corporate business initiatives, programs and launches. Provide recommendations on integration and program delivery to HQ virtual team leads. Communicate program status, action items, and deliverables to Oracle Financing executive management.

  • Lead programs through scheduled release, measure and report progress and review deliverables. Assist others in managing commitments and resources.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a packaged program roadmap for multiple audiences.

  • Build and maintain a global perspective and network. Ability to work effectively across multiple countries.

Qualifications

  • Business / Financial Acumen - Pricing and/or Financial Modeling experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology (IS/CS, engineering), finance or related field with ten (10 ) years of high tech business experience; MBA degree preferred.

  • Thorough understanding of business development (internal, corporate) fundamentals; program management skills.

  • Proven ability to achieve in a high-pressure environment including ad-hoc project requests.

  • Solid project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage to and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels across globally-distributed virtual teams, customers and partners.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, and to navigate through large corporate structure.

  • Advanced computer skills using MS Office (particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Effective presentation creation, editing & delivery skills.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a high degree of resourcefulness and persistence. Ability to provide consultative input to multifunctional teams.

  • Critical thinking skills – ability to identify potential problems and opportunities in a proactive, efficient manner.

  • Demonstrated product/project management experience.

  • Existing working knowledge and experience marketing, selling (SE or SC role included) or product-managing technology solutions. Knowledge of Oracle products is preferred.

  • Ability to establish technical subject matter authority and credibility in roadmap domains, rapidly and simultaneously.

  • Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic. Team player.

Oracle Financing works closely with customers and Oracle license sales representatives to structure payment solutions for acquiring Oracle and partner technology.

Works closely with customers and Oracle license sales representatives to structure payment solutions for acquiring Oracle and partner technology. This function includes: soliciting end-user payment transactions; training Oracle and partner license sales personnel to identify opportunities for accelerating technology sales through OFD engagement; participating with license sales in forecast reviews; advising customers of acquisition payment options, and generating proposals for payment solutions; obtaining credit approvals, providing financial and transaction analysis to assist credit underwriting; generating and negotiating payment contracts (within OFD business practices); obtaining customer signatures and assisting the Oracle contract review and signing process.

8-12 years of sales experience. Strong presentation skills. Strong knowledge of credit, financial analysis, financial concepts, and financial pricing. BA/BS in Business, Finance or Economics. Experience in IT financing and leasing is a plus. MBA a plus. Proven ability to sell to "C" level customers. Complex contract negotiation experience. Experience with Channels sales. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.
