Job Description:

The Senior Program Manager, Business Acceleration (BA) is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of strategic programs as well as a number of individual programs that accelerate the performance of the Preferred and Retail businesses. Focus areas include the creation of a New Client Acquisition strategy and program portfolio framework (integrated plan, executive reporting, management routines, measurement systems) as well as individual project plans supporting BA originated programs (i.e. Financial Center Activity Optimization, third party channel distribution, Etc.). The position will play a critical role in creating integrated plans, providing an aggregated view of programs across the org intended to achieve strategic outcomes, ultimately exposing and remediating gaps and ensuring the successful realization of strategic LOB goals.

The ideal candidate will have successfully led complex, multi-faceted portfolios of programs involving technical material in the past. The individual will be comfortable establishing and leveraging both project and operational measurement systems, ensuring that project benefits are not only realized at deployment but are sustained over time. Given the matrixed nature of the work and the function, the candidate will be skilled in proactively establishing and leveraging relationships across partner organizations including senior partners, to achieve program outcomes. The incumbent will regularly partner with the Financial Center, Digital, Contact Center, Client Care, Retail, Preferred, Analytics, and Product Management organizations.

Business Acceleration is an "internal start up", established to innovate our operating model, turn data into relationships, accelerate P&L performance, and amplify our competitive advantages while also proactively mitigating vulnerabilities across the value chain. The organization is a part of the larger Retail, Preferred & Small Business strategy organization.

Required Skill Set: MUST have these skills to be minimally qualified

  • 7+ years of formal project management experience

  • 5+ years of financial services experience

  • Experience governing a complex portfolio of programs, sponsored and led by multiple business partners, to achieve a strategic business outcome

  • Previous experience managing complex, multi-faceted projects involving technical subject matter (i.e. analytics, technology platforms, Etc.)

  • Strong, proactive relationship management and communications skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage through influence and drive change in a mature business and matrixed organization

  • Polished executive presence and past successful interactions with senior management (band 3+ leaders)

  • Demonstrated technical financial acumen (P&L metrics)- Comfortable creating and managing business cases including technical financial measures (i.e. SVA, NIBT, etc.) as well as a strong understanding of inputs and outputs within measurement plans and reports

  • Proficient in creating project measurement plans/systems, leveraging a hierarchy of inputs and outputs, to connect project outcomes to business level P&L goals

Desired Skill Set:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

• Master of Business Administration

• Six Sigma certification (green belt, black belt, etc.)
