We’re looking for a customer-obsessed Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our team of collaborative marketing members who are individually brilliant, love working with each other, and embrace a growth mindset. In this role you will be responsible for marketing Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. Your primary objectives are to increase awareness, help drive sales, and deployment of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, while always keeping an eye on our competition. You would be working alongside with another PMM focused on endpoint security, while the broader team charter includes the full end user threat protection story of our XDR offering across endpoints, identity, Office 365, and Cloud Apps.

Responsibilities

To reach our strong goals in this market, you are focused on the customer and business outcomes and have experience in building strong partnerships with engineering teams to influence the product roadmap. You can look end to end across the business from marketing campaigns to readiness to product strategy to partner to field to competitor to help improve product, deliver offers, land scale through partners and field, and deliver great digital marketing.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with business planning on business model decisions and then bringing those to market

• Influencing engineering on product roadmap to ensure competitiveness and meeting customer needs

• Endpoint narrative integration into the broader Security campaign strategy

• Influencing partner marketing for readiness

• Delivering the value proposition of the product in messaging and in content at the EDR and XDR level

• Owning the web-site presence for Microsoft Defender for Endpoint

• Deeply understanding competitors and building strategies to address them

• Listening to field input from sellers to influence your marketing motions

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business

  • OR Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years working with B2B software

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing with a focus on commercial software.

  • Experience in Cybersecurity and an understanding of the security audience is a plus.

  • Ability and passion to translate technical concepts into a compelling story for customers that clearly articulates Microsoft’s strategy, benefits and differentiation.

  • Deep experience partnering closely with product teams on product strategy, narrative creation, and launches.

  • Excellent communication skills, high degree of accountability, and willingness to take measured risks.

  • Proven capability to deliver world class marketing content, including value proposition, evidence, blogs, whitepapers & presentations for identified scenarios, products/features and segments/audiences.

  • Proven capability to develop strong working relationships with customers, senior executives, engineering teams, and other product and marketing groups.

  • Experience and a track record of success in product marketing or product management is essential.
