Wayfair Senior Product Manager, Search Marketing in Boston, Massachusetts

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Search Marketing Product team at Wayfair is looking for an experienced, customer-focused Product Manager as we build one of the most advanced growth platforms in eCommerce. Search Marketing is one of Wayfair’s largest marketing channels and our team is a part of the Growth and Advertising group that reaches over 500 million consumers in our mission to help everyone anywhere create their feeling of home. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of text ads, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and other search-based advertising. They will own the roadmap and execution around Wayfair’s platform that manages the planning, execution, and experimentation for our text-based search marketing campaigns, which cover millions of keywords and match them to ad messages, and onsite customer experiences. They will be a product athlete, able to break down complex problems </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">and back up recommendations with quantitative and qualitative reasoning</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">, prioritize against multiple, sometimes competing priorities, be fluent in Agile and leading frameworks, with a long history of successful product launches. In addition to collaborating with other Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing Channel Managers, they will also be able to serve as one of Wayfair’s representatives with external partners such as Google and Microsoft.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead discovery with stakeholders and </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">set the vision for this team - from strategic goal setting to experimentation and scaling in ways that delight users on complex shopping journeys while achieving our business goals.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Translate your product vision into well-sequenced de-risked roadmaps, and ensure that your plans evolve as we learn and adjust our business goals.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Build strong relationships with industry experts to deeply understand our businesses and co-develop potential solutions to supercharge growth, improve marketing efficiency, and increase automation.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Influence external vendors such as Google and Microsoft to monitor industry trends, leverage their capabilities, identify breakthrough opportunities, and resolve operational issues.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Use Agile processes to collaborate with Engineering and Data Science partners to execute the roadmap while harnessing the power of emerging technologies.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Work with the larger Marketing and Technology teams to ensure tight technological and strategic alignment with Wayfair’s overall mission.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Communicate and evangelize the product vision and progress throughout Wayfair, including C-level stakeholders.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Develop and monitor OKRs for key product initiatives and ensure alignment with stakeholder objectives.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Work with leadership to improve product craft and processes throughout the larger Marketing and Technology teams.</span></li>

<p><strong>What You'll Need:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">6+ years of building products in the Advertising or Marketing related Content Management space with a focus on Search or Performance Marketing. Additional experience as a Search Marketer or Analyst designing and running campaigns is a plus.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Solid understanding of the mechanics of PPC advertising, keywords, bidding, and experience, with hands-on work with Google Ads SEM tools. Experience in SEO, PLA, and non-Google platforms is a strong plus.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">3+ years in product management in an Agile environment with exposure to the full lifecycle from concept to launch and beyond.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sufficient technical literacy to both understand the underpinnings of products to make key decisions as well as effectively communicate with engineers and data scientists.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Knowledge of the Adtech/Martech vendor space, key players, and how content management influences search marketing.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong quantitative reasoning and ability to proactively deep dive and dig into data and KPIs.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Coding skills are a plus (enjoys building quick prototypes to validate ideas).</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at the senior leadership level.</span></li>
