Wayfair Senior Product Manager - Search Engine Marketing in Boston, Massachusetts

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Growth and ads platform - Paid Search Product team builds the global platforms for the largest digital marketing channel that powers our customer acquisition efforts touching more than a billion consumers.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We are looking for an experienced, customer-focused PM to join the Martech SEM/PLA campaign automation Product team with deep knowledge of Google Ads PPC products, SEM bidding, tools, and APIs, as well as understand interdependencies with Text ads, DSAs, Google product listing ads (PLAs), search engine optimization (SEO), and other ad channels.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The PM will own the roadmap and execution around Wayfair’s platform that manages the planning, execution, and experimentation for our text ad paid search programs, which cover millions of keywords and SKUs. Our ideal candidate is a product athlete, able to break down complex problems and back up your recommendations with quantitative and qualitative reasoning, prioritize against multiple, sometimes competing priorities, be fluent in Agile and leading frameworks, with a long history of successfully designing and launching B2B products.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In addition to collaborating with Engineering and Data Science to specify and build products, the PM will tightly partner with multiple Marketing channel leaders to understand their business goals as they relate to paid search and serve as one of Wayfair’s representatives with external partners such as Google and Microsoft. The PM will play a key role in driving SEM Product strategy and aligning efforts with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This position is currently 100% remote through early 2022. After that time, it can be based in Boston or in other US cities with a 10% monthly on-site presence in Boston.</span></p>

<p><strong>You will:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead discovery sessions with marketing stakeholders and set the vision for this team, including strategy, goal setting, and scalability that will help us delight users on complex shopping journeys and achieve our business goals</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Translate our product vision/strategy into a well-sequenced roadmap, and ensure that your roadmap evolves as we learn and adjust our business goals</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Build strong relationships with Marketing stakeholders to deeply understand their businesses and co-develop potential solutions to supercharge growth, improve marketing efficiency, and increase automation.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Work with external vendors such as Google and Microsoft to monitor industry trends, leverage their capabilities, identify breakthrough opportunities, and resolve operational issues.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Use Agile processes to collaborate with dedicated Engineering and Data Science to execute on the roadmap while harnessing the power of emerging technologies.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Work with a larger Martech team to ensure tight technological and strategic alignment with Wayfair’s overall platform.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Communicate and evangelize the product vision and progress throughout Wayfair from C-level stakeholders on down.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Develop and monitor OKRs for key product initiatives and ensure alignment with stakeholder objectives.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">&nbsp;Work with leadership to improve product craft and processes throughout the extended Martech and Customer Intelligence team.</span></li>

<p><strong>Desired Skills / Experience</strong></p>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">6+ years of building adtech or martech products with a focus on paid search or performance marketing. Additional experience as a search marketer or analyst designing and running campaigns is a plus.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Solid understanding of the mechanics of PPC advertising, keywords, bidding, and experience, with hands-on work with Google Ads SEM tools. Experience in SEO, PLA, and non-Google platforms is a strong plus.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Builder mentality -- you think in terms of customer problems and technology solutions and have demonstrated success in creating business-focused products.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">3+ years in B2B software/SaaS product management with exposure to the full lifecycle from concept to launch and beyond.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sufficient technical literacy to both understand the underpinnings of products to make key decisions as well as effectively communicate with engineers and data scientists.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Knowledge of the adtech/martech vendor space, key players, and how ads flow through the ecosystem.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Solid SQL skills, and excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at the senior leadership level.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude.</span></li>
