The Senior Product Manager will be accountable for developing and coordinating the assigned Modernization portfolio. This includes development of strategic roadmaps, customer discovery, product specification, commercial support, and product development targeted to the secondary market.
Responsible for product line performance with targets on orders, revenue, cost & margin.
Identifies and influences market trends and opportunities.
Drives vision & strategy, roadmap and product lifecycle for sub business unit and its portfolio of products & solutions.
Be a domain/business expert for the portfolio to guide and mentor teams, and establish/refine product management processes to maintain competitiveness.
Work cross functionally across engineering, marketing, sales, internal and external customers, analysts and senior management teams to formulate and execute the strategy.
Establish and manage relationship across GE businesses & sub-businesses, partners, customers and technical experts across industries and geographies.
Establish strong working relationship with account managers, technical sales and user/developer community.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 10 years of product, engineering, commercial experience along with established leadership credentials across disciplines and functions
Demonstrated proficiency of developing strong and logical business recommendations with limited data and time, as well as providing structure to potentially ambiguous environments
A minimum of 10 years in the Shortline Railroad or secondary market for rail industry experience
Product and market knowledge of locomotives and shortline customers
