Red Hat Senior Product Manager - Hybrid Cloud Experience in Boston, Massachusetts

About the Job

The Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Experience business unit is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join us. In this role, you will be pivotal in shaping the future of emerging offerings across the Red Hat portfolio. You will define and deliver Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) capabilities, creating a unified customer experience across the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Application Services, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. You will gather insights from customers and key business stakeholders to develop integrated roadmaps, lead release planning, and work closely with development teams to ensure successful product launches. As a Senior Product Manager, you will represent the product team and inspire confidence and enthusiasm among customers, internal stakeholders, and the broader product team.

This position requires excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. It offers an exciting opportunity to work on a fast-growing offering alongside some of the brightest minds in open source. The role is based in our offices in Boston, MA, Raleigh, NC, Durham, NC, or Santa Clara, CA. Successful applicants must reside in a locality where Red Hat is registered to do business.

What You'll Do

  • Gather and document input from users, customers, cloud partners, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs and develop a strategy and roadmap for our offerings.

  • Research competitive solutions, both commercial and do-it-yourself alternatives, documenting their strengths and weaknesses to develop competitive positioning and enhance our offerings' value in the cloud.

  • Define market problems, user stories, and business cases, promote customer personas, and share insights with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Prioritize technical activities of the product team, including determining solution priorities, planning releases, and leading feature and defect grooming processes.

  • Communicate and collaborate with strategic Red Hat partners, helping define our offerings' direction and integration opportunities.

  • Oversee the business and fulfillment aspects of software delivery for the product unit.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in product management, technical marketing, software engineering, or a related field

  • Knowledge of infrastructure software, including operating systems, containers, private cloud, and public cloud

  • Ability to think strategically and tactically to deliver compelling releases on a consistent schedule

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills in a highly matrixed organization

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to author blogs, develop and deliver presentations, and serve as a spokesperson for our offerings

  • Experience planning or developing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions

  • Willingness to travel for planning meetings, customer engagements, partner enablement, and conferences in accordance with Red Hat’s COVID-19 guidelines

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, information science, or a related field

The salary range for this position is $127,890.00 - $211,180.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
