Our Opportunity:

Chewy is dedicated to being the most trusted and convenient online destination for pet parents (and partners), everywhere. On the Product Design and Research team, we embrace this vision (and our pets!). We craft experiences that delight customers (and the businesses and veterinarians that support them) and empower them to keep their pets happy and healthy. As a team of hard-working, collaborative, and fun-loving designers, researchers, and builders, we’re looking for creative and driven talent to join the pack.

We are currently looking for a Senior Product Designer - Sponsored Ads to join our Chewy Core Shopping design team in either our Bellevue, WA or Boston, MA offices. The ideal candidate should be able to effectively translate customer and business requirements into well-designed products for both Chewy mobile apps and websites.

As a member of a large design team, this position requires a skilled collaborator who communicates proactively with senior design and business partners. You will drive design solutions to address customer issues with minimal direction. Furthermore, you will be an advocate for our customers, and their needs will be at the forefront of planning and product development, translating Chewy's customer obsession into genuine digital interactions that delight and empathize with them.

What You'll Do:

  • Transform customer and business objectives into compelling features.

  • Develop multiple solutions for a specific challenge that can be delivered across a range of products, platforms, and devices with a bias for action and crisp prioritization.

  • Manage your work from end-to-end discovery and concept ideation, flows and wireframes, and full-fidelity prototype designs.

  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, content strategists, user researchers, and other designers.

  • Champion cohesion and consistency to unite a growing family of products.

  • Clearly present your design process, inspiration, and decisions to stakeholders.

  • Nurture Chewy’s culture and principles within your team and the design practice.

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role

  • 1+ years of experience leading large-scale product design initiatives.

  • A track record of delivering designs for high-quality digital products that demonstrate the depth of your design skills; illustrated in a portfolio or case studies.

  • Proven experience clearly communicating design decisions and their impact on the customer.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent degree) in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience within the design field.

  • Position may require travel and will require time in the local office.

Compensation & Benefits:

Our salary range for a Senior Product Designer position is $134,500 - $215,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.
