Sr. Product Designer - Innovation

We are looking for a Lead Product Designer who is passionate about designing customer centered experiences and leading the design of innovative new products. This person is a “Full-Stack Designer” (UX & Visual) who can participate in Design Thinking sessions while owning the end-to-end design deliverables required to successfully bring new products to market. This is an important role within our innovation lab that operates with the autonomy of a startup, while having the resources, relationships and backing of a global Fortune 1000 company. What you will do
Partner with design researchers to identify market opportunities & customer pain points.
Lead the end-to-end design of new products & experiences from concept through MVP.
Ideate, design & prototype mobile apps, SaaS products, websites, voice applications, etc.
Create design deliverables such as journey maps, sitemaps, data flows, wireframes, visual designs, interactive prototypes and animations.
Create brand assets such as logos, icons, imagery & brand systems.
Work with cutting edge technologies such as AI/ML, Computer Vision, IoT, AR/VR, etc.
Participate in Design Thinking sessions to determine the desirability, feasibility and viability of opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to present business cases to executive leadership.
Build positive relationships throughout the innovation practice and global organization.
Experience & Mindset
8+ years designing digital products, services, and experiences.
2+ years working as a Sr. Designer, Principal Designer or Design Lead.
A portfolio (with link) showcasing your design process, supporting artifacts and final designs of the products/experiences you have worked on.
BONUS: If you have worked within a global corporation, a startup or as a consultant.
BONUS: Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in Interaction Design, HCI, or similar.
A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking methods.
Can lead the product design process from discovery through prototype, pilot and MVP.
Embraces an iterative design process and design experimentation.
Uses design to communicate complex, interconnected challenges clearly.
Create brand identity systems including logos, visual design treatments.
Experience with a variety of design and prototype tools such as: Sketch, InVision, Figma, Principle, Adobe Creative Cloud.
Able to collaborate in a participatory, team-based environment and support and inspire teams through collaboration as well as direction, vision, and planning of deliverables.
Can articulate a point of view and the value of design within the innovation process.
Strong presentation, storytelling and communication skills within a business context.
You’re a self-starter who can execute in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
You’re passionate about design and continuously raising the bar from “good” to “great.
