Meet Our Team:
The Medical Director will work collaboratively with sales, pre-sales, alliances, marketing, professional services, and product teams to establish and actively drive Pega’s Industry Solutions growth strategy for Health and Life Sciences businesses globally. The Medical Director is the voice of patients and clinical customers inside the Pega organization and the highest executive representative of Pega to clinical customers and audiences.
This individual will be responsible for a business that is significant in size, rapidly growing, and a strategic priority for Pega. The Medical Director will bring clinical relevance and expertise to Pega clients and prospects and will be responsible for driving the direction of Pega’s clinical industry solutions to support health systems, health plans and life sciences orgs and their patients, improving sales effectiveness through identification of winning sales themes, providing industry sales tools and content, account strategizing and targeting in conjunction with the Sales Verticals in the regions, and creating training deliverables. The Medical Director will also support client teams by providing thought leadership in the field and must be comfortable presenting to and problem solving with VP/C-level clients.

Medical Director will be the clinical voice/evangelist of Pega for HCLS and beyond. This expert will build relationships with other clinical experts at the client executive level. This leader will focus on advancing healthcare to the next level by engaging clients, the community and internal stakeholders to drive value and positive outcomes -- both health and business. This results-driven expert will propel organizations and people from vision to strategy to execution across a broad range of health and life sciences issues, disciplines and technologies. The Medical Director will have clinically relevant degree or degrees and experience with healthcare administration and patient care in a health system or home setting. Leadership experience is expected, along with expert understanding of the health and life sciences markets, in-depth knowledge of the software and technology for patient engagement and clinical operations, and the ability to translate such knowledge into comprehensive strategies and market value for our company. She/he will have a strong drive to succeed, demonstrate integrity, and be a proven, growing, top-tier thought leader.
The Medical Director would develop sales engagement strategies for the industry utilizing clinical perspectives to identify Pega’s unique differentiators as well as appraise market, customer opportunity, competition, radiation, and core competence to define the “must win” target customers for each solution.
What You'll Do at Pega:
Understand the unique characteristics of the business needs faced by clinical and clinical operations customers and the health industry as a whole, ensuring the feasibility of consultative and technical solutions are considered within the context of the customer’s environment
Participate and validate presales solutions / situations
Interfaces across functions to influence and direct actions to ensure the overall success of the solution being implemented
Investigate and explore future applications of software. Maintains a high level of knowledge in technology, systems and industry (future) trends
Continuously strive to understand industry needs and communicates product and solution development requirements to solution / sales teams
Actively contribute to the successful implementation of proposed solutions, by providing solution consultancy as required
Take a proactive role in coaching and transferring knowledge and skills to Solution Consultants on advanced functionality of Pega products and solutions
Develop and builds individual and virtual team experience, skills and knowledge through continuous programme of performance management and personal development
What You've Accomplished:
MD/PhD/MS degree , active medical license/clinical credentials
Extensive experience as a clinical provider and Medical Director-level experience and at least 3 to 5 years in a leadership capacity
Prior strategic consulting experience desirable
Demonstrated analytical expertise, problem-solving skills, and business judgment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong knowledge of and/or background in technology
