VMware Senior Manager, Worldwide Professional Services Sales Operations in Boston, Massachusetts

The Senior Manager of Worldwide Professional Services Sales Operations reports directly to the Sr. Director of Worldwide PS Operations and will lead all weekly and quarterly WWPS forecasting efforts against critical KPIs, including bookings, revenue and margin. Working closely with PS lines of business leaders, Geo Operations teams, Finance, Customer Success, and other support organizations, the successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic direction of WWPS forecast methodology, insights/accuracy, tooling and reporting across Education, Consulting, and TAM. This role is a key business partner to the SVP of Worldwide Professional Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the framework for the business to achieve strategic/customer priorities in line with VMware key values

  • Business and Operational Process: Establish, execute, and optimize operational strategies and deliverables as well as the cadence and process that drive the day-to-day operations of WWPS across Geos and lines of business

  • Lead the evolution and transformation of WWPS Operations and the WWPS field to SaaS, ACV and subscription-based business management

Operational Strategies/Deliverables :

  • Establish and provide pivotal metrics and accurate analysis across the WWPS business, providing management foresight that will drive appropriate decision-making

  • Foster process consistency among regions and across Geos to drive best practices in forecasting and business intelligence

  • Assist and partner with the WWPS SVP on WW forecast methodology, business strategy and escalations

  • Represent PS in the strategic development of Salesforce, Tableau, MyLearn and other tools for/by the WWPS Sales and field teams

  • Contribute to the development of WWPS QBRs

  • Provide insights to Global Sales Incentives on territory management and segmentation, quota and compensation planning

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years’ experience in Sales Operations within a software company

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required, Master Degree or Equivalent Preferred

  • Demonstrated hands-on operational skill and initiative in strategically framing operational issues and ensuring action

  • Ability to effectively communicate, lead, plan, and manage transformational change based on a clear end-state vision

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and drive clarity

  • Analytical mindset and strong critical thinking skills

  • Ability to easily traverse between strategic frameworks and deep operational details across a wide range of business areas / topics

  • Strong organizational / prioritization skills

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to drive targeted, business appropriate results and ensure process transparency, quality, repeatability, and scalability
